You mean that the Jeremiah fans sent no jeremiads to MGM and Showtime?

Maybe we should have sent Babearlon Five teddys to TNT... The Babearlon Crusade could have been the last best hope for the Excalibur!

Next time JMS creates a series or universe, he really needs to pay attention to those little details. There needs to be a cool, catchy name for the fan base, there needs to be a common item that fans can inundate the studio/network with if the show needs a 'show' of fan support (ie; the Tabasco that Roswell fans sent in).

It was his first series, though, so I suppose we can forgive him.

to be or not to B-fiver

Personally I remember reading about the term fiver and not liking it much.

    I'd rather be a B-fiver.

But I'd much rather identify as myself (not so sure about the "infinite taste and sensibility," certainly no sense and sensibility, much less pride and prejudice )

Strange. I've been referring to us as Fivers since before the first season ended. It just makes sense.

I've never really seen a nickname for us that I really like but I've always liked this post by JMS:

From: [email protected] (Jms at B5)
Subject: BABYLON 5 PILOT EPISODE ON CFT
    To: rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated
    Date: 2/3/1994 6:05:00 AM

Most B5 viewers that I've heard from call themselves Fivers, when
they identify themselves as anything other than what they are, people of
    infinite taste and sensibility....

    jms
    I can live with that...

started a topic What do they call us?

    What do they call us?

If Star Trek fans are called Trekkies and/or Trekkers, Farscape fans are called 'Scaper, and Serentiy fans are called Browncoats, etc... then what is a Babylon5 fan called?
Working...
