Ive not actually read any of his comics (I wonder did he have any input into the (animated) tv series)

No he didn't, though he has done animation before. The only thing I don't like about the comics that JMS writes is the waiting for the next issue. I don't have the strength of character to wait for the trade paperbacks so it's like waiting for new episodes of B5

I can't wait for 'Book of Lost Souls'! The art looks stunning. This is the cover for issue #2.
