JMS to write Twilight Zone comic!

Finally got to finish this (no thanks to my comic shops -- just ordered the book from Amazon to push an order to Free Shipping).

Overall, I love what JMS did with this. The first book was amazing, the second was pretty good, and I found the finale to be somewhere in between. I didn't love the way the third story dragged out the obvious conclusion to the Roy Chambers storyline, but I did enjoy the way the aftermath was handled. I do wish JMS hadn't just forgotten about John Ross, though. He was really important at the beginning, and now what?

P.S. Loved all the shoutouts to the original series: Beaumont, Matheson, etc.

I finally made it to the comic shop for the final issue. Sorry to see this end - it's been a really good read. And what I liked best was that it had a genuine ending, not just a twist like one so often would get in TZ episodes or in short stories. This time, in typical JMS fashion, we got to see the consequences of the choices made.

And that ending monologue was pure Rod Serling. As it should be since apparently Mr. S (as he's referred to in the story) is "back in the business".

Hope JMS might do this again.

Thanks, good to know. Perusing the previews, I like the page layouts, but the art style does little for me. It's a bit 'stock polished comic book house style' for me. Functional, but not very exiciting.

I finally got around to reading this and really enjoyed it. I was a little skeptical, since Twilight Zone is so unique and I wasn't sure how well anyone could translate it to a good comic, but Joe did a great job. And I actually liked the art. Granted, that's probably because I've been reading Sandman lately, and the art for that is hideous, so anything is an improvement. I also liked the panel layouts and scene transitions. Some of them were very clever, and it captured some of the feeling of a Twilight Zone episode. Good stuff. Looking forward to the next TPB.

Just finished issue #8 where the second arc is concluded and begins the next. I hope we get to see at least a little bit more of Diana Westby, though, to see if the message (which might seem just slightly familiar to B5 fans) finally gets through.
