Looks like JMS has another graphic novel project for DC in addition to "Superman: Earth One."

From CBR-

DC announced today, EXCLUSIVELY through CBR, that the writer will pen "Samaritan X" û an original graphic novel set firmly within the DC Universe. Centering on the titular, Gotham-based hospital, the graphic novel will bring in various heroes and villains from DC's pantheon and potentially spin off as its own ongoing series in the future.

2010: The year JMS takes over the comic shop...again!

This sounds like it could be fun. I have one question not touched on at all in the interview, though. Who/what's funding the hospital? Is there anything resembling a super-person health plan in the DCU?

Sorta reminds me of the tailor in Spider-Man, who dealy almost exclusively with super-folk, to the point where he had to have heroes and villains come in on alternate days so they didn't bump into each other.

Yeah, but medical emergencies can't wait. Maybe a 'neutral ground' sort of situation?

The owner of my comic shop isn't much of a JMS fan. He's not terribly happy at all the titles JMS is picking up.

Something struck me in re-reading the interview. Looks like JMS has figured out how to participate in Big Events with this one.

As I recall, this was on hold because of the crazy amount of work he's doing.

In answer to a question about the Samaritan X GN, JMS replied:

That's the other GN that I'll be concentrating on alongside Superman Earth One v2. My guess would be spring 2011.

Somebody else has asked about whether an artist has been chosen yet.
