  • Jumbo Anthologies of JMS Comics?

I know that there are many anthologies of JMS's comics dealing with "recognized" superheroes, but are there any "jumbo" anthologies of them--you know, those thick anthologies that contain several dozen comics stories?

If not, there certainly should be--books with titles like JMS'S SPIDERMAN: THE COMPLETE SERIES.

As for spider-man, I don't think the complete set of jms's would fit in one book, but there have been volumes published (I think 10 total):

Also, I supposed it's not exactly what you were referring to but there was a complete bound version of "Rising Stars" which was about $70. Hasn't been in print for awhile though. I picked up my copy at a local comics store. There's supposed to be a a new "Rising Stars Compendium" published but that keeps getting pushed back for some reason.

      Thanks for that information, Joe.

I'll look for those volumes on eBay.

Top Cow has recently started putting on some of his older stuff.

        Just announced for January is

        Midnight Nation Oversized Deluxe Hardcover
        .
It states 'never before seen extras' and I have a request into Top Cow to tell me if it'll include anything by JMS himself.

And the 'compendium' is set for December release in paperback (at over 1000) pages.

Here's another view of the 10 volumes of JMS's Amazing Spider-man run.

Heard back from Top Cow Sales & Marketing today -- nothing new from JMS for this release.

          So far it's:

-Gary Frank pencils from various issues
-Expanded cover gallery with pencils and inks from some covers

and they are narrowing down details on a couple of other features that they asked me not to divulge at this time.

Hmm, Gary Frank pencils would be nice, but unless those other two features are spectacular I'm hesitant on whether to double dip.

As for the OP, I concur that Marvel should put out his Spidey in 'Omnibus' format (three or so volumes though it may be), I'd love that. Actually I'd settle for them just completing the JMS spidey run on their Digital Comics Unlimited service.
