Doctor Strange: Year One

This info was released last weekend from the Wizard World convention in Philadelphia:

Straczynski will be writing a Doctor Strange series, set to begin in September. It is adapted from a movie screenplay for the character that Straczynski had written.

Sweet, considering I liked his take the Doc during his recent appearance in Amazing Spider-Man.

That should make it orderable in the Previews that just came out this week...

Possibly, but since this series was just announced it may not be in the latest Previews. They might handle it as a retro solicitation like they did for John Byrne's Doom Patrol.

I'm excited for more JMS' Doc Strange, too!

I got the impression that JMS' Doc Strange was going to be a mini-series rather than ongoing ... anyhoo.

I can't remember which issue of ASM it is in, but when Doc Strange recently returned to speak to Spidey to tell him he had been noticed by straying from the path he set for him through the Astral Plane, a footnote mentioned that where DS had been in the meantime (and why he was now a different DS) would be the subject of the new mini-series.

Intriguing, if true.

I have enjoyed DOCTOR STRANGEÖ since before he became a Master of The Mystic ArtsÖ/Sorcerer SupremeÖ, when his adventures were being chronicled by MESSRS. STAN LEE & STEVE DITKO, so I am well chuffed by the news that JMS has taken it upon himself to share this story with us @ last, whether it be a miniseries, a 1-shot or a Graphic Novel.
