Rising Stars Update

I was wondering if someone would provide information on the latest issues of Rising Stars. I keep hearing different things. Will the last issues be released. It would be such a shame if this is never resolved. Thank you.

The last official word from JMS had him resolving his differences with Top Cow, at least enough where he had turned in his final scripts for however many issues remained (I think 5) and Top Cow would be moving them along.

What has been done with those scripts, I dunno. Whether the artist that was doing Rising Stars had moved on and they need him back, I dunno. Whether they tossed them in a shredder because they were pissed at JMS, I dunno. Whether it's just taking time to get through post-production and we get one next week, dunno. JMS finished the story, it's just in Top Cow's hands to print it.

Well, there's nothing in the latest PREVIEWS for comics shipping in July.

I have a feeling that we have already had issue 21, which means that there are 3 left.

The resolution of all the nastiness was some months ago, so I am rapidly losing faith in ever seeing this series resolved.

I saw this in the front section direct from JMS, and thought it might be a good idea to add here. I have not seen the advanced listings for Image in October yet, but this should be released soon (DC just released their previews yesterday).

It'd be nice - Midnight Nation and Supreme Power are kickass looking (those being my only experiences with him - and the majority of my comic "collection" ). But flipping through the Stars credits, it looks like he's only contributed covers to it here and there. So I don't think so, especially with his work on Power going on.
