I just turned in the script for issue 7 a while back, and Colleen is
working on it as we speak.

    > 2) Do you have any other books that might be coming out from Icon?

Not at present, too much is going on.

    > 3) How many comic book Series and miniseries are you currently writing?

Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer mini, a
miniseries involving a number of Marvel WW2 characters, Squadron
Supreme, and a new monthly title that will be coming out around the end
of the year. The Bullet Points miniseries is being drawn by Tommy Lee
Edwards, who has finished the first two issues, and it looks just
amazing. (BTW, the Squadron issue that we just finished in-house, #4,
is my favorite of the bunch so far, in that it gets back to the real
intensity we had in the Max version.) The B5 GN is still going ahead
    in starts and fits.

    jms
Whew, another monthly title? Is there anybody else who currently writes 5 books a month?

EDIT to add: Just found this note on Colleen Doran's blog:

Remember, The Book of Lost Souls resumes monthly comic publication in September. So, keep an eye out for it. If anything else comes up, I will let you know.
The 'anything else' was referring to other books and GNs that are coming out this year featuring her work.

Well, Brian Bendis writes Powers, New Avengers, Spider-Woman: Origin (a mini leading to an ongoing series), Ultimate Spider-Man, and The Pulse (series just ended about a month ago). But, knowing Bendis he's more than likely working on something right now that'll be published later in the year or early next year. He was writing 5 books/month for a couple of years (he left Daredevil only 2-3 months ago, which he wrote for, like, 4 years or so).

Ed Brubaker is currently writing Captain America, Books of Doom, X-Men: Deadly Genesis (final issue of mini came out last week; he's now the regular writer on Uncanny X-Men), and Daredevil. Okay, that's not five books/month, but Brubaker slays. His writing is well above what others are putting out. Come on, Bill Mumy's (B5's Lennier) letter was printed in Capt. America praising Ed's writing.

Another thing I noticed about Bendis: He appears at a lot of conventions across the US, plus the numerous monthlies he writes. He's just been announced as a guest at the Canandian Comic Book Expo.

My theory: the guy doesn't sleep.

::claps hands:: Thanks Colleen! That *almost* makes up for the bad news about San Diego Comic Con (which Colleen won't be attending, folks). But I do understand and agree with your reason.

I'd love to go, but just being in city air makes my eyes burn and tear up. Sometimes it gets so bad I cannot see to drive. I cannot wear contact lesnes at all. I have serious, recurring respiratory distress from being on airplanes and in city air.

Obviously, I have some kind of environmental allergy that must be addressed as soon as possible.

It took way too long for you to recover from New York, it's not worth it. I'm sure we'd rather see your work and know you're healthy.

Any idea when BoLS #7 will be out? You started working on it in DC, right?

Colleen, do you sell through your website? Dealer? Whatup?

                    BoLS...Issue #2...cover.

I think I'm starting to detect a trend. I bought a dragon cover from Colleen, I picked up the three-headed monster from Dream Police (have I mentioned that I love Ebay?)...hmmm...

I haven't sold on ebay in awhile, but if you want to contact my agent Spencer Beck about my art, he can be found at www.theartistschoice.com

I haven't listed any of the Lost Souls pages on the website yet, but if you contact him directly at [email protected], he can let you know what is available and the prices.

I have not put any pages up for sale at conventions yet, so just about everything is here.

thank you, Colleen, for such a quick reply. weblinks are a plus.

                          Oh, the choices.

Sorry, that was phrased badly, wasn't it. No, the Dream Police pages I picked up were from Ebay. I got the aforementioned 3-headed monster double page drawing, a couple of pages around that and the page where they're outside of 'Slacker's' bar

One of these days I'm going to end up laying a *big* chunk of money down to get all this stuff framed properly.

I'm sure there some type of archival type of glass that prevents oxidation.

The main reason: framing protects the artwork from any possible future damage.
