Great interview. Many teasers. I likey.
Called in sick today. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!"I am just a worthless liar. I am just an embecile. I will only complicate you, trust in me and fall as well. I will find a center in you; I will chew it up and leave. I will work to elevate you, just enough to bring you down. Why can't we drink forever? I just want to start this over!" TOOL

"Peter, in particular, will go through a huge change at the end of this story. ItÆs going to be probably the biggest thing to happen to Peter in 30 years. ItÆs huge."
Translation: We're going fo f!ck up the character yet again!
Just leave it alone. These characters aren't broken, you don't need to fix them.
I'm a little surprised to see him given Sims his HoF introduction, given Sims philosophical views on certain subjects."I don't find myself in the same luxury as you. You grew up in freedom, and you can spit on freedom, because you don't know what it is not to have freedom." ---Ayaan Hirsi Ali

I have no energy to look up Sim's opinions on feminism, but just tell me this: Are the responses to Sim's works on the subject being described in this Wiki entry on him overreaction, or were his opinions really off the wall? Because you know certain people have been called misogynists for presenting well-thought-out opinions complete with evidence just because the opinions were against modern feminism.
I see that The Comics Journal depicted him as a Nazi. That is SO clichÚ...Last edited by Dr Maturin; 04-30-2006, 09:01 PM.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

"What the feminists and their ventriloquist puppet husbands are talking about doing with Government-Funded Daycare is raising children as if they were a herd of interchangeable swine. No surprise coming from a gender which has no ethics, no scruples, no sense of right and wrong."
But as for Vyce's surprise at JMS giving the award, why? I don't recall his ever stating that he had to agree with somebody's personal views in order to appreciate their work. It appears that Sim is exactly the sort that JMS would want to honor, since he believed in what he was doing enough to self-publish for all that time. I'd've enjoyed being a spectator at that lunch, though. The still-atheist discussing Islam with the former atheist.

Yeah, that comment almost sounds like a rib. The article mentioned that some people believe he is only ribbing.Recently, there was a reckoning. I started reading one of his 'Tangent' essays linked from the Wiki article. So far it's almost incomprehensible, full of parenthticals and capitalizations used for emphasis, but I'll reserve final judgement until I finish all (I think) 5. But it's very odd...

Bullet Time
Not a bad interview, but hementions "bullet Time" again, it intruiged me when I read about it the first time, anyone know when it's coming out, he said the summer and that starts today (May 1st) but there's no listing for it on amazon.com.
Phaze
on the "like I need an excuse to buy more Straczynski" ID"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "
