FYI: The book of Lost Souls GN will be out in late May, then there will be a little break between issues 6 and 7 of the series. JMS is preparing a major new storyline. So, don't panic if you don't see the solicits for a month.

The Lost Souls GN release date posted at Amazon is incorrect. I am waiting on a correct release date from the publisher. Looks like it may ship late July instead.

Who's Richard Biggs?

Richard Biggs was the actor who played Dr. Stephen Franklin on Babylon 5, manwithnoname. He passed away from an aortic anuerism in May of 2004 leaving a wife and two small children (2 and 4 at the time of his death). A fund was set up to help provide for their education and many fans from all over the world contributed items for auctions the help out. Our own poster here, Jahkneebee, won an original B5 concept painting in a 'garage sale' auction that JMS held last year and has made a limited number of prints that I'm helping him auction for the benefit of Rick's family.

BoLS #6 - SPOILERS

Yay, it's here! Good story! I didn't realize that Mystery would be telling it in his own words. That was a nice touch. As was the trick view of the confrontation between the creatures representing the Two. I especially liked the unicorn horn.

So now we've got Jonathan's backstory and Mystery's, too. He's developing to be much more than I'd really expected. I'm hoping that we'll find out more about what happened to Jonathan between the time he jumped and the time he showed up in the here/now.

So, Colleen...any word on when the next one is? I know you said JMS was working on something big?

I know it's subjective, but one panel of Mystery head looks to be the same angle as my cat from my avatar. So was Marmalade really an inspiration?

I hope the next issues comes out soon. I think I got used to getting the issues closer together and now it seems to be forever between them. Especially if it's a big story!

I love the intro of Raphael. Page 5, Panel 1: The angle of Raphael's back with the "bumps/scars" was too cool.

Mystery: "Raphael. Penance. They symbolize the forgiveness that will never come."

Girl: "From who? You? Jonathan?"

Mystery: "Himself."

I love Colleen's storytelling here: clear, perfect pacing, conveys the creepiness of surroundings, different angle shots/choices.

JMS' dialogue serves two purposes, for me at least:
1. forgiveness: Raphael's forgiveness of self, and
2. Forgiveness: God's forgiveness..."that will never come." I'm citing the Holy Trinity Christian version here. God gives humans choice and free will and forgiveness. Angels receive only one thing from God in the beginning...presence in Heaven. They don't receive forgiveness nor free will; They do have ONE choice: Serve God or be cast out forever.

I don't know if JMS was conscience of Mystery's dialogue serving two puposes. But, it was brilliant for those having read the Bible.

The mystery: The second insurrection?

Mystery (cat) seems part of the second insurrection. As I stated above, Angels serve God or are cast out. Mystery seems not to belong with the Angels cast out of heaven, nor does he serve God right now. Or is he serving God in a different capacity? Ah, ha! There's the mystery.
