Is it a collected trade paperback covering several issues?

I thought Marvel was releasing a hardcover collection, but on comicbookresources.com it shows Marvel solicitations for August release a softcover collection.

I really should read these things, blame al lthat germen pilsner I drank last night, and my 10 post a day average over @doesmygeek.com
I think I'm frying my poor wee brain.

According to her blog, except when she was sickest, she still managed to work in bed. This lady's got a major work ethic. She seems to be better now and just got back from a lecture engagement at the Smithsonian Institute.
And I *love* her work on BoLS! I'm looking forward to seeing more of her past stuff soonish.
In an earlier post, Colleen said she's been working 7 days/week. Well, she got really sick. No surprise there.
I just hope she fully recovers before trying to get back to work. I'd rather wait on BoLS and have Colleen at her full creative energy levels, turning in great artwork.
I just noticed on Colleen Doran's blog that the monthly issues of Book of Lost Souls will continue in September - that seems like forever. I think #7 was to come out in late May. I guess we'll have a looong wait for #8.
i order and sell on Amazon.com. in the business section several days ago, Amazon.com posted yet another loss. don't be surprised if they decrease prices on their graphic novels (softcovers and hardcovers) and/or implement a higher price to receive free shipping.
Well, I can't be sure, of course, but from what I've been hearing, there seem to be new partnerships going on between shippers that may preclude information being passed between them very well. As an example, I recently had a package that showed that it was shipped via UPS but that was actually delivered by my regular mail carrier. Maybe it's something like that?
I'm sticking this in here as I'm not sure where else to put it. I bought volume one the hardback spiderman collection from amazon last week, got email Sat to say it had shipped on the second. Log into amazon and there's a button which says "track my package" I click on tracking but it then says tracking not avaialable - grrrrrrrr. What's going on.

The Best of Spider-Man Vol. 1 include stories from Spectacular Spider-Man AND Amazing Spider-Man. NOTE: Amazing Spider-Man issues within this collection are missing (#37-39). Depending on how bad you want to read those issues, tradepaperback is your only option.
wasn't sure where else to put this. I went down to my local Forbidden Planet (Irish/UK comic book store) and picked up "Best of Spider Man" Volumes 2, 3 aqnd 4. Am I right in assuming JMS didn't write volume 1? Should I buy it on Amazon for the sake of continuity or can I Start reading @ Volume 2?
Thanks,

I wasn't looking forward to "Annihilation" whatsoever, but I decided to pick up the Drax the Destroyer mini-series (4 issues) on a whim.
I knew nothing of Drax. I didn't even know what a Drax was. IMO, Giffen surprised me, in a good way.
The characters are highly distinct and stand out, giving an above average read. In an interview on comicbookresources.com, Giffen says the unofficial precursor to Annihilation is the Drax mini. If you haven't already guessed, Giffen is writing the Annihilation event.
