Mr Straczynski. PLEASE ALTER THIS SITE OF YOURS AND GIVE US MORE INFO ON THE MAGES. I'm geek uno(or # one), that is; king of geeks. And a geek wants his fix. Please give us further info on your characters or better yet do comics. Yes, write comics about the Technomages and all other first ones. I'm dying to know about all of them. All of them! Escpecially Galen. The coolest character of Babylon 5. I love Sg1 and Battle Star Galactica. Great shows. But they pale in comparison to Babylon 5. The greatest show of all time. Give us our fix. Please Dude....any info would be nice. Any @$$ could write stories about your characters but they're YOUR characters. Share with the people please share. Anything any little thing even a few lines even a few nudges. We're desperate. I love the passing of the Technomages. Jeanne Cavelos is the sweetest writer of any thing relating to Babylon 5. Share Share Share Share Share. Even a small crumb. Smallest of crumbs share share share please! Geek needs Fix! After those idiots cancelled Crusade I wanted to crush them all. But thats okay now, or at least you can now fill in the gaps. Can't you? Found out Ivanova is a bi gal....erk. Well no ones perfect. But I love the series none the less. Joseph Michael Strayczynski your a great Scifi dude. Better writer than J.R.R Tolkein or any others; well perhaps not as great as David Eddings. But you're close. Okay I've babbled forever. Be well. The passing of our common friend was sad. After so many years I felt that 'he'; Mr Biggs was perhaps the greatest of all the actors on B5. I hope to Jehovah all ones'll have an opportunity to live again. Though it depends on God. Thankyou for all the dreams the wonder and spectacles. Thanks again nice human.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the board, shadoomoken.

Not to bust your bubble or anything, but this isn't an official website of J Michael Straczynski. It is actually a site run by someone who loves the show and JMS' work and to whom JMS has given permission to archive his postings on Usenet for posterity.

This forum is bolted on to let us mere mortals and B5 fans jabber incoherently about the show and anything else that comes to mind.

I am sure I speak for most, or all, of us when I say that we share your desire to see new things happening in the B5 universe, but there is, unfortunately, no sign of this happening any time soon.

But, once again, welcome. Always nice to greet a new fish to the pond.

Garibaldi's Hair is correct, shadoomoken. As far as we know JMS doesn't read here at all either. Welcome anyway.

And, GH, I think we jabber very coherently.

I'm telling ya, guys, if we had a nice message at the top of the main forum page stating that JMS does not post here, this stuff would be greatly reduced.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

It's in the FAQ on both the archive page and the forums. Anyway, it's not as if it's that busy at the moment...

Did'ja all see the latest JMS post? He says a lot's going on that he's not willing to talk about yet but to check back in mid-October. Not that that means any of it is B5 related but we can hope.

I'm hoping for the best, but expecting nothing B5 related.

It's funny how whenever JMS even hints at a possibility of giving a hint I immediately hope it's B5 related.

He did mention a couple of things were in the works in his session in Toronto, so it's probably something about that - the Marvel Productions thing, for one.

I feel lucky that I've liked so many of JMS's other projects that the only B5 thing I really ache to see it a theatrical release. Oh, but I DO ache to see the Station on the big screen!!

Well, maybe if we all go and watch "Serenity" at the theaters, the suits will understand that something CAN go from television semi-success to big screen success with the SAME actors. Then, MAYBE, jms can get the ball rolling on a new B5 project. Hmmm. Serenity comes out Oct 30th....jms said check back mid-October...Hmmmmm.

OK guys! Here's the plan. Watch Serenity, several times if necessary, and talk to everyone about B5. If they haven't seen it, tie them to a recliner and force them to. Then give them a pen and paper and have them write to WB asking where the future of B5 is. If they have seen it, supply pen and paper. And, if they are cute, tie them up and do nasty things to them while watching B5...(just kidding).

                  How does that sound?

                      September 30 is correct.

I know I'm planning to write to WB as soon as Firefly is out.

If it is something B5-related, then do you think that it might have anything to do with a B5 novel in the works according to TonyLee's post over on B5tv?

Have they even chosen the authors for these Mongoose-published novels as of yet?

You know what I'd like? A couple of ongoing series not involving the main characters from the show. That way, JMS's approval won't be a major issue and it'll be like a whole new adventure. Plus, the B5 universe could use some fleshing out.

Somebody named Tony Lee has posted this over on B5TV.com on 8/30:

Well, it's been a while and things have changed, but I thought I'd give you an update.

As you probably know by now, the comics have been put on hold after another comic company (who shall remain namless but as they're connected to Warner it shouldn't be too hard) got annoyed that Warner would pass a comic license to another company and threw the project into Limbo.

So, over the last few months I've sat patiently and waited.

Now, I can tell you I've just signed the contract to do the second of the comics as a novel - RANGER'S OATH - set during the third season and featuring - well, the rangers. Estimated release is second quarter next year.

For those who are concerned about canon, I've been sending all the plots etc to JMS for his approval and in the last email I got back he mentioned that Fiona Avery will be the main liason (I believe) to make sure that all books stay pure to the basis that is babylon 5.

At the end of the day I'll write the best story I can, and then it'll be checked with a fine comb to make sure it fits well.

                            Anyway, just updating you. Bye!

                            Tony
I'm sorry to sound pessimistic, but...a comic being turned into a novel? And DC is owned by WB so I don't think it's any mystery which comic company he's referring to.

I hope it works out and I'd love it if something as good as the three trilogies were to come about. We'll see.

Its great to be here my friends and thankyou so much. Though I tend to babble forever I do thank ya'll for allowing me to stay. I so love B5 great series wondeful characters and cool creator. I wish I had some money and I'd pay for a B5 movie. I mean come on they have made Serenity. Narf! Zort! If Firefly could be turned into a movie. I have much more faith that some one, any one could pick up B5. Sweet!
