I'm not sure but I think the one on SI now has the 5th season theme also and the original didn't. Don't take that as gospel until I can check, though.

You can actually buy various episode soundtracks (as well as a "Best of" for Crusade) on Christopher Franke's website www.sonicimages.com. I have all of the ones that were released and whatever I couldn't find in stores I bought from there. One time there was acutally a delay and they sent me an e-mail to let me know, and I could tell that it was a personal e-mail and not just a form, so I was impressed. Price isn;t too bad either.

The other one I *really* love is the music that Christopher Franke wrote for the Season 4 DVD sets.

I got the Severed Dreams and Z'ha'dum soundtracks as well, but I wouldn't recommend them.

I've had all of the episodic CDs and probably still have them around. The ones I play over an over are "Sleeping in Light", "In The Biginning", the original two suites and "A Late Delivery from Avalon".

I visit my local hippie Hastings every week, and 30% of the time I find a used B5 soundtrack for $1.99 or so. I have about five CD's at this point, and they're the good ones, too.

There isn't.
When the soundtrack was initially released, Chris Franke basically took a couple episodes' soundtracks and edited them into one track each, and it was released as "the" soundtrack. Eventually a volume 2 was released.
After that, it's been single-episode cds ... The closest thing to what you're looking for is the "best of" cd that came with the cd-rom B5 station tour, whose name I can't remember right now, but Jan would remember.
That cd is now available at sonicimages.com by itself, and a couple of the tracks were written for "Into the Fire", the cancelled B5 game, and were later used in Rangers.
