I always felt (especially after reading the Centari trilogy) that Sheridan largely ignored his "vision." He only mentions it once or twice and it never plays a factor in any of his decisions except using it as an excuse to go to Za'Ha'Dum. Even then, I think it's pretty low on his list of reasons for going to Za'Ha'Dum.

With Sheridan being shocked about the baby, he probably just blurted out his immediate thoughts, not really thinking about something that had happened a couple of years ago. He just got excited about the prospect.
And when Delenn actually gave birth, I bet everyone in Sheridan's "office" was totally surprised the next day.Whenever someone who works at my office has their baby, everyone seems so shocked to find out when they come in the following day (pleased but shocked). It's like they can't believe it actually happened. Just the way people are, I guess.

my other question can be kinda figured out, but its an interesting thought. When Sheridan is informed that Delenn is pregnant, he is happy, surprised and worried. He was told that that they may not be able to concieve, and he was wondering if she will be able to carry it to term and live. . .bla bla bla. My QUESTION is why was he so shocked? he saw when he traveled in the future Delenn telling him that their son is safe . . . does that not clue him in that she survives and that they had a child?? I can always pass it along that him fazing in and out of time made his memory of that time a bit hazy . . . but if he remembered her telling him to NOT go to Za'Ha'Dum then he should remember that right?
In part he says:
Originally posted by JMSAs for Delenn...yes, he heard her talk about their son, but at
the same time, again, that's 20 years down the road. Their son could
be any age, so the news that she's pregnant will still be a shock
whenever it comes; you may know that you're planning to have kids, that
the doctor says its possible, but when you actually hear the news, it's
a stunner every time.
His question is a natural one...he doesn't know if the kid in
the future had to be taken out of utero to be sustained until it came
full term, doesn't know if extreme measures had to be taken...his
question is a sensible and justifiable one.

well I should mention that this would be the . . . 6th or 7th time around watching the series, but I just recently bought season 5 on dvd and I watched it like 5 times over when I had it on Vhs, but I finally got a chance to re-watch it for the first time on DVD. but I picked up the Vosk name from other fans, but like I said, I dont know specifically where I picked it up.
the shock of knowing he didnt change the future . . . thats a good point! ok we will see if anyone else has an opinion.Last edited by Laiden; 07-15-2005, 02:17 PM.

Nice... glad to hear you finished the series. I enjoyed it even more the second time around, especially seasons 1 and 5.
As to your questions... no idea where you got that name for Kosh 2. We never knew his real name in the series, but in the novels we did. His name is Ulkesh Naranek.
As to Sheridan's reaction to the pregnancy, I attributed his shock more to the idea that he thought by going to Z'Ha'Dum (which Delenn told him not to do) that he changed the future, and this was his first indication that maybe he didn't, that maybe the future was unfloding into what he had witnessed.
Just my thoughts on that last one... we'll see what others say.

Your first question - I have no clue man. I'm thinking you were on something. It's been hinted that our Kosh#2, EvilKosh, however you like your second Kosh, is actually a Vorlon that's seen around in the books, the In The Beginning flick, and other B5 stories. Given name there is Ulkesh.
Question numero dos - Yeah, you could also write off that the whole thing was kinda hazy (especially since the mention of his son was right off the bat while he was still waking up), but you could also nod to that he was trying to change that future, and that past a few generics he didn't really expect to be fortelling a whole helluva lot. A son could also have been adopted or such. The future is a tricky business, Sheridan is smart enough to realize he never got a whole lot of info and wouldn't be playing Nostradamus in the near future.
But you could also say maybe he expected it later - all men on TV do, thus carrying on the grand tradition of needlessly shocked husbands.

ok, this place has died a bit so I think I will ask a few questions. . .
I just finished watching all 5 seasons *dances* and after I move I'm sure I will watch them again. these questions are small and I kinda could figure them out on my own, but I like to hear opinions or from people who know.
