Some update about new B5 novels at Mongoose board (http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/forum.php):
    Latest news.

    1. All going well, there will be a special preview edition of the first Babylon 5 novel, Visions of Peace, available at the Babylon 5 Open Day. Numbers will be _very_ limited, and this edition will not be reprinted (the cover will be noticeably different from the general release).

    2. All novels will be 100% canon.

    3. The full range of novels will begin release in July/August - I am still waiting to hear an exact date. The first month of release will see four novels, the second month another two. I am waiting confirmation of releases beyond that point.

    4. I have already read part of Miss Christian's novel and I can now officially call it 'Most Excellent'.

    5. We have recently initiated talks with another Babylon 5 actor who has expressed an interest in writing a new novel.

    6. Work has started on tying up Crusade. . .

That is all for now. . .

    But this conserns a little:
Nothing from Mr Straczynski. However, Warner Brothers have reaffirmed that everything we produce is to be considered canon . . .
But its not a big deal for me. Not everything has to be JMS approved (afterall B5 is fiction). If price is good i'm looking forward to novels, i hope CC knows the B5 universe and knows how to write.

Your friend's brither can buy it at Amazon Marketplace and send it to you.

I have found all JMS approved books even "Invoking Darkness". Only "Summoning Light" isn't sure, but maybe I'm lucky and get it tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it turned out that even at those bookstores "Summoning Light:The Passing Of The Techno-mages, book 2" is out of stock! I ordered it yesterday, everything seemed fine, but they sent me an email today apologizing and issuing a refund!

Just how can the second book of a trilogy be out of stock everywhere while the 1st and 3rd are numerous, I cannot understand...

another fun error is say keys says in "Deadly Relations - Bester Ascendant" that bester has a son when in the series he clearly talks about this daughter in "A Race Through Dark Places" =D

Places like these are always good for hunting down those elusive OOP titles.
Leto II, you've made my day!! I checked with ABE, they have it, I ordered it and I'm one thrilled girl! Thank you so much for directing me to these bookstores, bless you!

May I add a little warning?

From all the B5 books on-line, the most difficult one to get seems to be "Summoning Light:The Passing of the Techno-mages, book 2". Ask me, I've been hunting for this for days and days and I can't seem to be able to get it! Even in eBay there's not a single copy! There are a couple in Amazon, but they won't ship outside the US, and in a matter of two days I lost the single copy I'd found in Barnes and Noble! My last hope is a friend's brother who lives in the US, he may find it for me.

So if you are really commited to buying all the books, I'd suggest grabbing the Techno-mages trilogy first, just in case.

Yup...one wee, tiny gaffe occurs in Book III of Peter David's Fall of Centauri Prime trilogy: the events involving David Sheridan and the Drakh-liberation occur in 2278; the novel has them dated at 2277 (despite the author having used the correct dating in his In the Beginning novelization a couple years earlier).

Still, nothing huge-huge, one single digit amongst many others, and you likely wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't said something just now.

I know there was a discrepancy in a date that I'd never have caught. The big one I recall reading about was that in the books, the Technomage ship allegedly carrying Elric and the rest of the Mages was written to have exploded before reaching the jumpgate and not been mentioned on the show. Those are the ones I recall most clearly.

I'm just talking about the trilogies, mind. The Dell books (except #7 and #9) have some major errors that could probably be caught by somebody who'd never even seen the show! Lyta being deaf, for instance...
