Just a quick question regarding books from Crusade. I'll probably be picking up the B5 books shortly (trilogy sets at least), and was wondering if any/how much of the Crusade storyline that wasn't released on tv has been released via book? I'm hesitant to pick up the Crusade DVD set because I don't want to be upset when I get to the end and see that there really isn't an end.

That would be a whopping total of zero books continuing the story of Crusade.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Thanks for the quick responses. I guess I'll save up for the Crusade DVD series, although I'm still trying to convince myself to watch season 5 of B5. I hadn't watched an episode until after season 4 arrived on DVD, then I gave the series a try, and rushed through the first 4, but 5 wasn't available at that time, and four seemed to wrap everything up, so I couldn't bring myself to watch 5 after it came out, even though I bought it. I'm currently rewatching seasons 1-4, currently halfway through season 3, and I'm debating about trying to go through 5 this time. It just drives me nuts that the arc had to be rushed for fear that the show would be cancelled. But, oh well, that's for a different discussion that I'm sure has been had many, many times on this board.
But, thanks for the answers to the book question!!Peace, Love, & Recycle

Synbios, season 5 worth watching anyway. Most of it is also in the arc. Don't expect fast paced war, it is just different from seasons 3-4 - but still very good.
The season 5 adds two funny experiments: (Highlight to read spoilers for Season 5)
1. Lochley - she's new both to the viewers and to the station crew (and her relationships with both viewers and crew evolve from caution to love)
2. Byron - also new, and seems to be hated by everyone (both viewers and crew, except telepaths).
The main problem of Byron is that there are no telepaths watching B5 at the moment
And his facial expression when he saw Lyta half-naked is like mix ofand
.

I tend to either skip or fast forward through the Byron stuff.

In my usual haste, I forgot to also say anything about the Centauri Prime and Londo wrap up. That's worthwhile even though I still think K'Plann looks funny wearing a Narn suit!Michael Malloy

I just added spoiler tags above. We don't know how Synbios feels about spoilers so let's be careful in this thread at least.
To mask spoilers all you have to do is type an open square bracket [ the word spoiler and then a close square bracket ], type your text then close the spoiler with open square bracket, slash / the word spoiler and close square bracket.
Clear as mud, right?

Synbios: My opinion is that you should definitely watch Season 5. There are certainly things to dislike (the main thing, IMO, starts with a "B") but there are some great episodes, and I think much of the latter half of the season is fantastic.

Season 5 also contains a couple episodes that I consider absolutely "Don't Miss".
A View from the Gallery which presents the story from the POV of a couple of the Maintenance Techs.
The "Main Characters" have only Cameo roles in this episode.
It's all about the guys who "Clean up the Mess" after the heros save the day.
and
Day of the Dead which features visits from several genuinely DEAD characters.
Not so much Haunting as just "Stopping by for a quick visit".

I'd add to that list "The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father" which is another good POV-change episode.Schlock Mercenary: comic space opera
