    YAHOOO!!!!!!!!

Er...oops. Excuse me. I just had some *great* news! Well, great to me, that is.

I just now sent PayPal payment off to a former B5 crewmember to purchase the script for Episode #520 - Wheel of Fire. That means that I only need ONE MORE to have a complete set of all of the episodes, the pilot, the movies of the week and Crusade *including* 4 unproduced scripts and the joke version of Excercise of Vital Powers. Each and every one legitimate whether set-used or bought from the Fan Club or obtained from the author his/her/itself.

Oh, and I still need TMoS, of course.

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled newsgroup.

    Blissfully,
    Jan

    Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Three from Crusade and one from Season 5 of B5 written by Bill Mumy and Peter David. JMS seems to have changed his mind about some things so it wasn't shot. It really wasn't up to par, either, I didn't think.

Hmmm...I should use some quotes from those in the Name the Episode thread....bet I'd win!

Jan, if you will, could you share with us who don't know what the basic plot or whathaveyou of this Bill Mumy/Peter David season 5 script is? I can't say I've ever heard of it before.

Jan, I have a copy of the 5th unproduced B5 script and the TMoS script for sale for a mere $1 million, cash, no denomination larger than $20, let me know when you are prepared to make the handover.*

*Sorry about the grassy knoll, I didn't know what the boss had planned that day.
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.

I can do better than that. I've got a synopsis of it I can send people. Anybody interested can PM me an email address and I'll get it off to them. EDIT: I've never played with attachments. Let me try that.

Briefly, Sheridan is diagnosed with an ulcer which events on the Station seem bent on aggravating and a replacement arrives for Londo (whose ship had blown up recently as he tried to return to Centauri Prime) who causes havoc and forces Vir into an unlikely partnership.

                  The title is 'Gut Reactions'.

LOL! Nice try! I'm probably gonna get the one I need (#414, BTW) for $25 or so. Nyah! I think that one's been hard to find because it's the one that Scott Adams guested on.

Yeah, I'm interested in that joke script as well. Could you tell us a bit more about it?

Oh and get JMS to sign the scripts. All of them. Just take them to a con with a wheelbarrow and dump them in front of him for signing :P

The joke version is one that JMS wrote in 'retaliation' to a joke that Andreas and Peter played on him at a convention. The story goes that at a convention once, A & P had the audience go 'dead' on JMS. No applause, no laughter, let's make JMS really sweat. And Joe did. Finally A & P came out and explained the joke and JMS promised 'vengeance'. Time passed. More time passed. Eventually they forgot all about it. JMS is Russian...he doesn't forget. Eventually, out came 'The Exercise of Vital Powers' and.....SPOILER FOR SCENES NEVER SHOT (highlight for better reading):

G'Kar goes through a transformation. Something happened that his race has kept secret but the stresses of the war and everything he's been through triggers...a change. He becomes she. As a warrior, he could never have forgiven Londo but as a female, she can. And does. And did you know there were 6? <g>

JMS published it, just like every other script. They went to him. "Great joke, Joe!"
                          "It's not a joke"
"Ha-ha, of course it is! Good one"
"Do I have time to write stuff we're not gonna shoot? No joke."

They even sent Andreas to be cast for...prosthetic chest appliances. Actors were calling each other at home trying to figure out how to stop him. Eventually, of course, the second draft came out.

I've gotten a few key ones signed by each star I've seen at cons. My gem is the Sleeping in Light script signed by JMS, Bruce, Claudia, Mira, Rick and Jerry. Somehow I missed getting Stephen to sign it and I've never seen Jeff C at a con yet. Funny thing. If I hand an actor a complete script, they immediately turn to the cast page to make sure their name is there...even if they remember the episode. Every actor, every time.
