I found the character intensely boring, personally. She was also too obviously shoe-horned in to fill the gap left by Ivanova's departure.

Well, she was obviously replacing Ivanova and I'll admit that the whole marriage thing didn't do much for me but I loved her sparring with Garibaldi a whole lot!

honestly don't have a problem with TC, per se.

What I have a a problem with is the apparent B5 "bigscreenmovieevent" Having really little or nothing to do with the core characters whatsoever.

It would be akin to making the first Star Trek Movie Based on Commander Will Decker, and interacting only with Nurse Chapel for about five minutes.

I realize these are all rumors and such, and would be HAPPY to eat my words with hot sauce.

But I have a bad feeling about this.

I have to admit, I was really underwhelmed by season 5. I don't think that's inherently a probelm with the season, but rather that it was always going to be anticlimactic after the major arcs were prematurely resolved in season 4. And as we all know, JMS can't really be held accountable for that.

I remember when First Contact was being made there was a lot of noise about a Lt. Hawk. In t6he end he was a classic ST character in a red shirt. There was nothing to him except somebody to play a small role.

And when Crusade came out I wasn' disappointed that it wasn't the B5 cast. Well okay, i was, but I got over it! I think the possibilities are more exciting than you are giving it credit for.

Exactly. There was *so* much momentum in Seasons 3 and 4 that having to begin a season with few outstanding story threads made it seem to lag and gave the Byron thread too much emphasis. Still, I love the experimental episodes like 'Day of the Dead' and 'A View from the Gallery'.

If this was happening right after the series ended, the way Crusade did, I think I would have a more open mind.

But its been close to 6 years(?) , and I miss my Garabaldi, Delenn, Ivannova, etc. Like nobodies buisness.

I don't think anything less than that could satisfy me personally. Can it be good? Sure, it can. But its not what my heart's desire is, and Im sure Im not alone.

She could play the girl friend but not the officer.

I am not really a Lochley fan, but I did like Woodward as Galen. It would be a shame if Woodward didn't play Galen, but I will still see the film as long as they don't recast everyone. If they recast everyone, forget it. I won't support something like that.

I think I will start out by saying that I didn't care for/bordering on disliked the Ivanova character. Nothing about her connected with me on any level. I liked Lochley a million times more than Ivanova. In Crusade, she is even greater in her scenes with Gideon.

That said, the marriage thing DID do it for me because she was the warrior that John married. Then he married a worker. Then he wound up with a religious woman.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

LOL, i have never thought about it this way, but it makes some sense!

Lochley(Scoggins) was really ok and i'd like to see her again.

And i have to say that i liked the 5th season much more when i watched it a second time. Though there is not much arc - action, its a season driven by character development and political agendas.

                          Luckily, i like both
