  • New Site Going Up! keepb5alive.com

I just purchased the domain keepB5alive.com and as soon as I get the ftp login information I plan to launch a site to feature our concerns over this current dilemma regarding the studio opting to replace our beloved B5 actors for TMoS.

I will need content so please post any form letters and addresses to the studio in question on this thread. I will reframe from naming the studio on the site in hope that their suits will not attempt to force the site out of exisitance. However, I will list any addresses, emails and form letters that are needed to get this campaign off the ground.

The site will only support about 200,000 visits per month at this point, but if need be the bandwidth can be increased. I plan to keep the site as small as possible to help keep the site alive for as many as want to visit it. 200,000 is not that many hits on the web these days but it's a start.

It's time to do our part once again to Keep B5 Alive!!!!!!!!

    I will link it.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Many thanks for doing this SciFiRanger! Having someplace to point to is a wonderful idea and will really underscore the seriousness of the situation.

                Thanks,

Yeah, thank you very much, SciFiRanger! That's exactly what we need!

By the way, Jan, any reactions from the newsgroups? I'd like to know what's going on over there.

Not a lot so far, Chaos. Trouble with the moderated newsgroup is that there's almost always a time lag from the time things are posted to the time things appear. Unfortunately, a conversation got out of hand last summer that caused the moderators to hand-mod almost every thread. That said, the word has broken over there, though.

EDIT: I just sent an email to the moderators explaining what's going on and asking them to clear messages quickly.

One thing that we'll have to remember is that we really can't expect to hear from JMS on this, either. Remember Crusade and the memo that was leaked? He couldn't say anything until *after* the situation resolved itself. He never came out and denied it, either, though. I take note that he's definitely, visibly present on the newsgroup right now, though.

Keep an eye on the front page where the archived messages are and I'll also post if I see anything first.

It was the pro-choice/pro-life issue. 'Nuff said.

Most gracious and wonderful ScifiRanger! You are a blessing in a time of need. May the Great Maker bring you the blessings of TMoS (WHICH ORIGINAL CAST) and may you have many years of happiness!

I have also linked to it on my news page on SPPictures.com and will soon be adding a B5 news page as well.

I have a friend (read, my source) who's going to try to find out names of people to contact in the biz. I will give out that info as soon as I get it.

Nice to know that we here at JMSNews Forums conducted that conversation tactfully and scientifically.

Ya know...why doesn't SAG do anything about stuff like this? They can seemingly dictate everything else in the film industry, so why not stick up for the actors in this case?
