I'd love to know, too - though I fear that it may have been destroyed when the dismantled the Casino set for the War Room.
ETA: I tweeted JMS to ask if he knows.

And you're very welcome. That was such a great gift that the buyer gave me when I was more than happy to help out.

    Wow,
Jan, it's a nice example of synchronization. Just the other day I was rereading an old article of Cinefantastique, and they had a little thumbnail with that same artwork and i wondered what the whole image looked like !
I love the retro-futuristic look of it, i always found it was a shame that (i guess due to budget reason) we could see so little of the core : when we see it, like at the end of season 2, you could see lakes, forests, etc... the painting is amazing ! Knowing the story behind it is all the more nice, thank you for sharing !

I've always loved seeing the attention to detail that went into the show, even for scenes that only showed for a second or two.

I'm not sure if I've ever posted these here before. As many/most know, back when JMS was selling the show he had some artwork done by Peter Ledger. One piece was a large painting of the core of the station. JMS sold that painting to a fan during his 'garage sale' several years ago. That fan, in an effort to help with the fundraising for Rick Biggs' family had (iirc) five high quality giclee' prints of that painting made and I auctioned them on Ebay. In thanks, he gifted me with one of the test prints. Here's some detail from that painting.

Was Timothy Martin Earls someone who worked on the show ?
Yes, indeed! He was the concept designer and later art director for the show in seasons 4 & 5 as well as the movies.

Just posted this on Facebook. From tonight's episode on CometTV, here's one of Earth's defense platforms. Original art by Timothy Martin Earls.

Haha, I can imagine them being a bit curious about strange things coming your way. Swords is one thing but alien heads?

The funny part was warning people at work that I was having a sword delivered to me there. But then, they were around when I got the Ulkesh head, too, so they were used to me getting odd things in the mail.

Yep, central Florids, just southwest of Disney.
