  • Babylon 5 Photo Thread

It occurred to me that I post pics of props and costumes on the big Facebok page but not here, my main playground. Feel free to post any B5-related photos here.

Today I shared pics of the flak jacket from the show.

Thanks for sharing the photo Jan. I for one like props and costume photos a lot. I'd love to see more of them if you have

Here are some that I posted on FB today - concept art from Crusade.

The entrance to the 'Path of Sorrows'

The dead city in 'The Memory of War'

Dureena's view looking down in "The Memory of War'

one of several concept drawings for Galen's flyer

I can't even look at that. I keep expecting the eye to open.

              Great stuff Jan!

I really like the concept art. I must say though, that Path of Sorrows was the only Crusade episode that made me cringe. If I remember correctly it was at the beginning of the episode you could see the door wobble as Dureena was climbing down it. Very old school Dr Who

Is the Keeper and the bracelet something you have picked up on auctions? They are the perfect kind of collectible I'd say. Small but distinct.

I was recently thinking of asking you if it still was possible to find B5 stuff without getting ruined these days. Is it still possible to find stuff like this, or perhaps scripts?

Ha. Yes. Cursade could have sure used some extra budget. Path of Sorrows is pretty much the only episode I could fully get behind. It's one of the few I actually liked and felt lived up to the quality of B5 at its best.

I got the Keeper from the Prop Store and I bought the Blip bracelet on Ebay.

Sometimes. As I'll bet you noticed if you followed the link above, the Prop Store is often overpriced. The did come down a couple of hundred bucks when I bought the Ulkesh 'head' from them and they do have payment plans. They also just had an online auction with reasonable starting prices *-but* the buyer's premium and shipping made everything uninteresting to me.

I just last week scored Micheal York's own script for 'A Late Delivery from Avalon' which set me back a fair bit but...well, I couldn't resist since I've got Excalibur. I'll post some pics once it arrives.

Here are a couple more pics of things that were relatively inexpensive but definitely seen onscreen.

the 'gold channel' jammer seen in "Chrysalis"

a coffee mug seen in Earhart's when Franklin and Garibaldi were talking in "A Day in the Strife"

Both of these were on Ebay quite a while back.

Ohhh, that mug is cool. I'd still like a B5 coffee mug / tea mug.

You did what!? That was a great multi-fandom catch. And you've got Excalibur!? Now you are just rubbing it in aren't you

And both the jammer and the mug is great fun stuff as well. The jammer because it's connection to the show and the storyline and the mug as it is very useful. This stuff makes me all fanboy happy inside

Well...yeah. Might be bragging just a touch. But I have to admit it's one of my prized possessions after my script collection. And I bought it from John Copeland hisownself.

                          Who's this guy?

                          First of all: WHOAAA! EXCALIBUR

Good question! Seems kind of familiar but it's not coming to me.

Nothing bad where I am, thanks. Some rainy days and mild gusts. I'm in central Florida and all the action was in the panhandle.

Wow, that is one great prop! I really like Michael York so Excalibur is hard to beat.

I can only think of maybe a few props, like a triluminary, the book of G'Quan or a Kosh head that is marginally cooler ... but wait a minute, you have one of those as well, right?

From Copeland him self? Is there a good story behind that?

I'm glad to hear that you did not suffer any stormy mishaps. Had no idea that you lived in Florida Jan.
