  • What ever happend to Babylon 4?

I don't know if anyone knows already the answer to that, but what really happend to B4 after the first war against the shadows was won? We know what Valen did and where he went. But the station? Delenn said in "War without end" that she knew the station came from the future to her people to help fight against the shadows. But not who sent it there.

That means she already did know something about the station long before "war without end".
I really like to know if it might be a museum or something or if it is still out there...waiting with secrets...

was'nt it destroyed after the last war??

As far as Delenn knowing that the station was fron the future, as a manber of the 9 should would have been informed of the stations (B4) constrution and layout, one seeing that she would have made the conection.
The avalanche has already begun it is to late for the pebbles to vote.

This was answered in the 3-part comic "In Valen's Name" ... The station was abandoned; sometime shortly after "War Without End", the crew found it, but its orbit was decaying .. They had less than 24 hours to get inside, download the computer logs, and get out, before it crashed and was destroyed (or something like that).

In this comic was the phrase "I found her", which some (including me) speculate is a reference to Sakai ...

thanx for the info. that comic has not yet been published in germany and its pretty hard to get an original even via ebay. I really like to see that comic.

I'm still wondering if Valen/Sinclair removed all ID Tags from the station posting its name "Babylon 4". wouldn't the minbari ask what language that is?! They don't know humans in that time.

I really wish we could get some more detailled information about Valen and his life onboard the station B4 and the war against the shadows.

Well, I'd assume that the Vorlons would have taken care of that. They helped Sinclair with his transformation too, so changing the signs on the station should be a piece of cake.

                Here is the B4 emblem:

I am thinking the Minbari saw the signs, but it was no big deal. A strange language would have added to Valen's mysticism and the higher ups would have passed down the information over the years, while the lower class people would have forgotten over a thousand years. When they met the humans, and saw the script, it was like "aha." Remember, Delenn said she'd studied the humans on her own. When she saw the ships, and perhaps the English script on the sides, she knew it was them for sure. Just a speculation.

Also, wouldn't there be Minbari script and Centauri script, etc? If the Minbari had contact with the Centauri back then, they may wonder, but then again, written language changes over time.

Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

If you look closely at In Valen's Name there are some interesting details.

In the abandoned, and blighted interior of B4 there are ruined Minbari style buildings.

Also in the hanger bays there are stil ancient minbari fighters AND Starfurys!

The Some of the English signs are still there too.

I thought I read somewhere that JMS had stated he had changed his mind about the Sakai/Sinclair relationship ? Which would sit me just fine cause I never liked the character of Catherine Sakai in the first place.

No. That's where we learned how she got Lost.

And that Sinclair's motivation for going back was that it was his only way to Find her.

The one thing we Don't know is what was in the message he left for himself from the past.

                          Possibly something like:
                          I found Catherine.
Now hurry up and get our butt back to the Past so everything will work out.
Catherine says she's tired of waiting...

No, we know from the novel that Sinclair found Sakai. When he went back in time and became Valen, he left a letter in the care of the Minbari to be given to Marcus at a specific time similar to how he left one for himself in the future and for Delenn. In this letter to Marcus, he said: "From both of us, our thanks and friendship. Continue to dream that better future... where perhaps we'll meet again." Considering the events of the novel, it makes no sense for "both of us" and "our" to refer to anyone other than Sinclair and Sakai.

sorry to interrupt your discussion about sakai and sinclair. but I like to know if anyone can tell me what exactly the "triluminarium" may be. From most dialogs it must somehow contain something from Valens DNA or at least something similar. but from the looks of it, it seems to be a fragment of a computerchip or so. I really like to know what Valen did to make it glow if anyone who has his DNA comes near it. why are there 3 of it?
