Thanks Delenn of Mir for posting this......I had read it sometime back but it's good to be reminded of it......makes me want to read more

As I've had no offers since I posted the message I am now considering writing to JMS to see if he has a copy to part with(!).

I know - I know - it's lauaghably naive and foolish but maybe it would be worth a try when you're desperate!!

Does anyone know an official address to write to Mr JMS at??

Ages ago, someone on rec.arts asked Joe about the script and was given permission to post the first three chapters of it in the group. That transcript is now available as a PDF.

You might have seen it already, but if not, here at least is the beginning.

I discovered V and Babylon 5 at the same time back in 2009 when it was reimagined on ABC. I really just loved the new one cos I fell in love with Anna. But then I went back and watched the original miniseries and they were quality story telling with a lot of heart.

When I watched the Night Watch taking over the station episode it brought me back to the Visitors taking over in V. I didn't learn about Joe and his connection to it until I talked with a friend who has been obsessed with V since the 80s and now despises JMS and Babylon 5 since his series never happened.

But I can love both series and appreciate watching Willie as the crazy cult leader and Sarah Douglas as the awesome DeathWalker. Both shows are in my top 5 favorite shows of all time!

Cheers for this! Interesting read and it's fun to compare and contrast with JMS' more recent work. His writing, primarily dialogue has definitely improved a lot since this was penned.

Not sure who controls book rights but Kenneth Johnson who created V has the film rights hence his plan to make a V motion picture and Warner Bros owns the TVs rights.

I always felt Warners weren't as good as say as Paramount Pictures for exploiting their shows into franchises....paramount have done an incredible job with Star Trek whereas Warners hasn't really developed or exploited B5 or V. It's like they're embarrassed by the shows.

Would love a B5 motion picture but I'd say it would be recast with big names to "open" the film at the box office..

If anyone has a V:The Next Chapter script and doesn't want to sell it per sec - but share it with a fan I'm open to that too!...I would just love to read it!

I think as you're both here longer, you'll find that I'm not a huge stickler that some admins elsewhere might be. When I move it, it will probably be when discussion has run its course and will more likely be to the 'General' forum.

Everybody arrives here as they like -some directly to the B5 forum, others click on 'new posts', some come in from the archive page. Chances are, if they have an interest in JMS' non-B5 work, they'll find the thread. </moderator portion of this post (yes, I also have a split personality ) >

Now that he's turned his attention to novels and plays, I wonder if that's possible. I'm sure it would depend in large part to what permissions he'd have to get from whoever owns the rights.

Yes, he did sell it in a Garage sale. It's called

A Four-Hour Miniseries

He was selling them for a flat $200 each. I don't recall how many actually sold, though I think it was fewer than 200.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not willing to sell my copy but I hope you can find it.

Hello from Ireland!

I know pre Babylon 5 JMS was commissioned by Warner Bros to write a four mini-series as a pliot for a new installment of the V tv series......

Is there any JMS fans here who HAVE the full V:TNC script who would be willing to sell it to me?

I read somewhere here before that JMS sold copies in a Garage Sale!

I've lurked around ebay for years hoping it would turn up for sale but no luck

Read 3 acts of the first episode online years ago but would love to read his full version.
