Hello Everyone,
just a little story that began a month ago and just ended yesterday, that is really cool and that I wanted to share as a proof of how cool the B5 community is to one another.
Some months ago, although I knew B5 since I was 13, I discovered the B5 Scripts Books (better late than never). Preparing a specific online project on B5, those books were important for me to read to help further precise some aspects of my project. But being edited more than a decade ago, they were hard to find, and the ones I managed to find on Ebay were amazingly expensive, to say nothing of the additionnal cost of shipping them to France by Ebay.
I finally found a seller that got 11 volumes of the series sold separately. The price was just a little higher than the original retail price, but it was still pretty fair to me compare to other prices I saw. I sent a message to ask if a discount could be negociable if I bought all 11 volumes, as the shipping was very costly to me (Ebay added like 200$ of 'importation fees of top of 40$ of shipping...per book).
I didn't have high hopes for that request to be accepted, but I had no other choice that to ask, as I just could not afford the present total cost.
I didn't ask for a precise amount or percentage of discount, and told the seller I would totally understand if he refused.
The day after I send my email, I received the following answer :
I was just completely surprised and touched by this. I didn't have much hope for being able to complete the order because I would have never think such a huge price difference... I thanked wholeheartedly the seller, by telling him how much this was meaning to me.
After some additionnal emails, we finally decided that I would save further money by using the service Shipito to have the books shipped to a US address, then reshipped to France, saving more than 200$ of "importation fees" than Ebay asked, and reducing the shipping part from 400$ to... 80$.
Finally, yesterday morning, the doorbell rang, and opening it, the mailman gave me a huge and heavy package, containing the 11 books that I discovered for the first time with awe, and I just spend last night reading the entire first 2 volumes.
All this to say, I wanted to thank the B5 community, as I know it is just one of many examples for their solidarity and benevolence among each other.
To put it in geek terms, the difference of B5 fans, who started and ended this amazing 5-year journey, is that they tend to be S5 Londo/G'Kar, rather than S1 Londo/G'Kar, and wow, that is really touching to see.
Thank you !
Chris

Hello, I lowered the price of each one half off the sale price (at around 20-22$ per book). I will keep this price active for the next couple of days to give you ample time to purchase them. Add them to your cart and pay for each of them at once, it will enable you to ship them in bulk, instead of individually.
