  • SF Debris' Opinionated B5 Episode Guide

I recently came upon these Babylon 5 review videos and watched them all. Unlike Katie's videos, this video series is not complete, nor was it recorded in episode order. But the videos are organized by season here: http://sfdebris.com/videos/babylon5.php

These are interesting reviews with entertaining commentary and better production values than the typical review video. And most them end with an MST3K-style sting.

I just watched the one for 'Parliament of Dreams' which was fun. There are some comments that could be considered spoilers. I'll probably watch at least a few more.

    Thanks!

      Thanks!
      You're welcome.

Yes, some minor spoilers for other episodes creep in because he's reviewing the episodes out of order. If he has major spoilers, he does provide a spoiler alert.

I greatly enjoyed that one. I disagree with one portion, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a very enjoyable watch. Thanks again alpha128.
Susan Ivanova, "I'll be in the car."

            You're welcome.

I didn't have a problem with the Ivanova scene either.

But yeah, an enjoyable watch with some good jokes. I especially liked the one about Bester "is given the kind of warm reception normally reserved for an auditor with leprosy."

              I'll have to watch that.

The opinionated reviewer at SF Debris has been busy. While I wasn't looking he posted three new reviews:

The Corps Is Mother, The Corps Is Father (Posted May 31, 2017)

Here are my favorite jokes from the latest videos.

The Corps Is Mother, The Corps Is Father
"We learn Bester's backstory. His parents died when he was very young, so young I'm willing to entertain the possibility that he wasn't responsible."

"So it looks like Bester is heading to B5, and is relishing that like getting a root canal at the DMV."

                  Messages From Earth
"However, it seems that when a known drunk crashes his shuttle and says he saw monster alien spaceships, people tend not to believe him for some reason."

"(Lennier) spends most of the (action sequences) with an expression that says, 'I believe in reincarnation and even I'm scared shitless.'"

Ha. This is quite amusing. In general, nice commentary.

"Full power to the bumper cars!".
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

                    Kosh: Good!

Ha Ha. That's another good one.

"I want the cotton candy machine on standby. God help us if we have to use it."

SF Debris posted a new Babylon 5 review today:

The reviewer says he'll complete the trilogy and post a "Severed Dreams" review next month.

The opinionated reviewer at SF Debris is back with the final installment of the Season 3 trilogy, "Severed Dreams".

The heavy subject matter somewhat precludes the reviewer's ability to make jokes, but there is a particularly funny running gag that begins when the counter reaches -15:54 and ends with a clip of the Fourth Doctor and Davros!

There's also a great gag about the first lesson Sheridan's father ever taught him, which begins at -8:47.
