Group watch?

Hi all,

Right, I have this crazy idea! So.... we have this nice little community here, and i figured, wouldn't it be cool to sit down and watch a B5 episode with everyone on the forum?

So, this got me to thinking.

It would be eminently possible to have a group Skype call and watch an episode together, sync'ing when we all press play. The idea would be that we could butt in and talk idea, trivia, etc, all over the episode at various intervals, as this is stuff we've all seen before. Time zones could be an issue, but it might be fun to try?

Just an idea.

Time zones can definitely be an issue, as I have encountered that when being guest on podcasts (Mostly the "Downbelow Podcast").

Once y'all decide on a schedule, I'll be glad to set up threads for this.

I'm afraid I'm out, though it does sound like fun. I'm skype-less and don't even have a headset with a mic - and I'm perfectly happy to remain that way. But I'd love to join in on the threads.

I'm in the same boat as Jan. But I'll be happy to watch the episode and post my thoughts on this forum.

My wifi is much too spotty and unreliable for something like that, but I would definitely participate in the thread. I've been reading through all the episode threads on the other B5 forum that might be closing. I watch an eppy then I go read everyone's thoughts about it. It's fun.

Perhaps the easier option is to simply agree an episode we'd all like to watch, the have a thread to discuss. We could agree a 'watch day' as opposed to a time.

However, if people still want to Skype / Google hang outs / etc. Could be fun.

Okay, anyone have an episode suggestion? Can be a personal favourite, or one you feel is hideously underrated. Or EVEN an episode you don't like. Just something that would generate some good discussion. Hell, we can even pull in things like the script books and Lurkers Guide for additional material.

Well if we are scheduling something I say we just go for a complete re-watch starting with BOTH versions of The Gathering and we follow the "Viewing Order on B5TV". I say Crusade Chronological vs JMS' Order. I just prefer Chronological because that is how my limited brain works.

That sounds awfully ambitious and dangerously close to work. Besides, I don't have access to the original cut of "The Gathering".

But along those lines, I was thinking of starting with a first season episode. During my preliminary list compilation rewatch, I skipped the following Season 1 episodes:

• Deathwalker
• Believers
• TKO
• Grail
• Eyes

Yes, I know that "TKO" and "Grail" have bad reputations. Why do you think I skipped them?
