To me there was never the defining incident that made it clear to Sinclair that the Shadows were genuine trouble.
It's in the graphic novel "Babylon 5: Shadows Past and Present" (ISBN: 1-85286-735-3). It's also talked about a bit by Garibaldi in the Season 3 episode, "Messages from Earth."

To Dream in the City of Sorrows

I think I would have to say that I would be perfectly happy to see any of the trilogies made into a tv movie or miniseries or anything.

But I dont know about To Dream. I enjoyed the story, and liked finding out about Catherine and Sinclair, since they were never really covered in the show.

Always been partial to Whitestars, the Excalibur, and especially Vorlon Transports, myself.

<<Yes, but not a "Battle cruiser"...it's the "Destroyer class of Whitestar." In Earthforce, the big ships are called "Destroyers" and so JMS went against the traditional Navy term here (probably just because he liked the sound of the word).>>

Ever checked out the Star Wars Technical Commentaries by Dr. Curtis Saxton at theforce.net? This dude has a whole chapter devoted to why Star Destroyers should not have been called "Destroyers." He takes the arc of a planet on screen and tells you its circumference. He had another Dr. buddy examine Vader's skeleton as seen in one frame when he was being electrocuted in ROTJ and he tells you what kind of damage each disc on his spine has suffered.

    Ridiculous.

But yeah, it makes sense to me in terms of the Omegas being destroyers. "Destroyer" sounds tougher than "cruiser" or "frigate."

I personally liked the Hyperions better. They reminded me of subs.

No. Note that the Whitestar has an extra appendage up top, where its bridge is. The Bluestar (as we call it) didn't have that. Its bridge was in the nose.

    From: SiL - JMS Speaks

"What was the ship Sheridan flew?
It's a smaller, personal version of a White Star."

Cheerz ZHDD I imagine seeing as the two ships in A call to Arms were prototypes future versions would get to look more Minbari/Vorlon style organic. I apologise for the rubbish spelling it is getting late, time for bed methinks.

Having just read 'City of Sorrows' I agree with those who have suggested that it would make a good film. The only problems being get Mr O'Hare and co looking younger than War Without End. Still with a bit of bootpolish to the hair and a silk stocking over the lens. I shall look for your other suggestions after thoroghly enjoying this very good read. I'd particularly love to see him on The Sopranos; he has a great resume of mafiosos to his credit, and as a super bonus, it would bring him to the east coast for a period of time (thinking about east coast cons!).

No, actually Shr'eshhhhhh, that would be Andreas.

    Amy
Although I don't have the same zeal for Andreas as Amy does, I do like his work. I wouldn't mind seeing him in any of the Law and Order series. IMO, He would make a great defense lawyer.

The sheer frequency of her bouncing between the A & B threads. After awhile, I feel like a tennis ball. She needs to switch less often, sticking with each thread longer.

Agreed, and far scarier than "Thirdspace." Got to have Melissa Gilbert for the movie, though.

First B5 book i read was "To Dream...", it was good and as i liked Sinclair character it was very interesting book. Very B5-ish. 9/10

Telepath trilogy is my favorite. Could be even best B5 ever (including series). 10/10
    - First two books i would rate 10/10 and last 9.0/10. Bester and Vacit are my all time favorite B5 characters.

Centauri trilogy. Sometimes a little dull and slow but as a whole its good read. Must read for every B5 fan. 7/10

Technomage trilogy. I have only read 1 and half books. Lets only say that i don't like Technomages and Cavelos writing style. 2/10
You need to read "The Shadow Within" (Dell #7, reprinted by DelRey). I don't especially care for Cavelos' writing style either, but the subject matter is fascinating.
