Also wasn't Justin mean't to be the other 'hand'?
That said JMS likes his body parts. how many 'eyes' were there in the original show?

The new bad guys are supposedly as much, if not more of a threat than the shadows.
Supposedly. But I am of the firm belief that The Hand would have ended up being considerably different than just some new ancient evil race. jms is fond of the establishment of a plot line early in the show and the throwing the show in a different direction. B5 started with the mystery of Sinclair's missing time, but changed to the Shadow influence/war. Crusade started about the plague, but would have changed to have been about covert Earth development of Shadow technology. So, I don't put it past jms to have a change of direction planned for Rangers and The Hand.

I sadly didn't like it much

(slight spoilers)I was really looking forward to LotR. B5 at its best is definately the best show of its type. One I never stop being evangelical about. (several of my friends are now B5 addicts due to my sitting them down and forcing them to give the show the chance it diserves) I include Crusade (JMS style) in this. Not having seen any new B5 for a number of years I sat down and watched a video of it supplied by a friend with satelite tv. ( I don't have a tv anymore) The acting, in my opinion wasn't up to the usual standard, even Andreas seemed to be doing a pastiche of his previously sublime characterisation. The new bad guys are supposedly as much, if not more of a threat than the shadows. (it took 2 seasons to slowly build up the menace of the shadows even the thirdspace aliens gained menace from the already developed Vorlon arc) Their agents look very disapointing and are a bit too easy to fool. that said visually its arresting and there is a knod or two to Solaris in the form of a haunted ship. The worse thing is that like Crusade its another Branch of the B5 universe that will remain un resolved. Unless JMS can show-horn some of his better ideas for both shows into future projects. It is definately worth a look though, if you get a chance, I'm surprised Ch4 hasn't bought up the rights to show it. What with the channels historic links to B5.

    started a topic LotR

    LotR

Just wondering, has Legend of the Rangers ever been shown in the UK? B5 is currently being repeated on Bravo and Crusade has recently been shown on SciFi, but if LotR has been shown it's completely slipped by me.
Working...
