It's now being written, having waited for some other developments to take place, and will be turned into Wildstorm in the first part of the year. (It's a 100 page graphic novel, so that takes a while.)
Its funny, any time jms has needs a question answered, all he has to do is lick his finger, and instead of sealing the inquiry in an envelope like the rest of us, he sticks it in the winds and torrential currents of his internet fanbase, the result of which is an immediate downporring of e-mails, probably bombarding the living @ú$Ç outta his mailbox and other nearby surroundings.

There are other places online where people try to help each other out in a similar manner. For instance, alt.callahans, a virtual bar modeled loosely on Spider Robinson's books has a tradition where the person heads up a thread BB: which stands for 'Best Brains' and asks what they need. It's generally not used for easily obtainable info but almost any BB post will get a fair number of responses from people who know or know where the info needed is.
But, before anyone gets TOO Heavily "invested" in anticipating the FX for the new movie, remember that JMS is a People oriented storyteller, not FX oriented.
The majority of the movie will be about the People.
FX will only be used where it Helps the story.
Not just to impress audiences.
That's why I speculated that it's the Total Visual Look JMS was investigating.
Of course, a lot of the Backgrounds might need to be computer generated even when the actors are on the screen, depending on the Location of the action.

Yeh, but I also like big explosions as well. Kind of the point sometimes.
Not knowing the area very well...if one were going to be spending a great deal of time in Hertfordshire, which is apparently near London (pity please on a
geographically unenlightened American), would it be better to get a small flat
in London for that time and commute, or get something in Hertfordshire itself?
How long is the trip? Or is there somewhere in-between that would be salutory?
jms
Just noticed this as well. I used to live in St Albans in Hertfordshire and travelled into London every day, firstly by train (for a year), which forced me to take my motorcycle test and ride in. After my first motorcycle crash, I travelled on the train again for a few months until the insurance was sorted out and I could afford a better, faster bike and avoid the taxi drivers.
Trains leave from Elstree about three or four times an hour and arrive at kings cross thamelink where it connects to the underground. The journey takes just over half an hour, but there is an express which can take twenty minutes. If one takes this at rush hour, it would be extremely fortuitous to get a seat. It would also be fortuitous to get a place on the train and, once in London, it could be seen as fortuitous to return that day. Rush hour ends at around 8pm, but the backlog can keep going until around 10.00 at night.
I recommend that JMS gets a pad in London (I have friends who will happily put him up on their sofa for a few months) a driver, and sits in the back of the car reading tablod newspapers while he travels up the A1 or M1 Motorway, until he leaves the outskirts of London and gets into the countryside where it actually becomes rather pretty and he can look out the window.
If he's travelling between rush hours, the train is actually not too bad (it rarely runs on time, there have been at least three major crashes on that line, some people have to sell body parts on the black market to afford a yearly ticket and it occasionally smells of drunken revellers from the night before), but it wends its way through some lovely countryside and you know for definite when you arrive in London.
But looking at the date of the original message, I bet that JMS already has the information already.

Yeah, jms never skimps on character growth and development in B5. I think we can rely on his judgement to balance out the character/plot/ and REALLY BIG EXPLOSIONS AND FART NOISES stuff effectively.
Though, I think there will always be doubt as to how excellent the end product will be until we actually see it. I really hope it comes across as exemplary. I mean. Really. Hope.
