  • Somebody got hold of the alpha demo for Into The Fire

….. and has made it available for download!

Seems it’s held in an ISO file as it’s a direct copy of the demo CD that was doing the rounds at some cons back in the day. Can be played on even windows 7!

UPDATE:As the Isozone has unfortunately been shut down, new download links can be found at Hard-light.nethttps://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=88...

What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

Well I can't say I know much about these computer things, but every time I go to the site hosting the game my anti-virus software kicks up to warn me about the site.

Curious. Never had a problem downloading and playing it…. not heard of anyone else having problems either…. But nought wrong with being safe rather than sorry……

I installed Into The Fire on a pc with windows XP.
Works like a flight sim and makes me very nostalgic.

In the past, I've downloaded the 3D files of the ships and opened them in Lightwave.
It's great to actually fly them!

                How did i miss this?!?!?!

That site throws up all sorts not nice things at ya. But if you navigate through that, the file seems fine. Will try and play it this weekend!
