I was willing to go as high as $650. When that was beaten immediately I stopped. I wanted the desk, especially since I could've gotten the Nakaleen Feeder Maquette and Lunch with Joe, but I didn't bid as I thought my wife at the time would've blown a gasket.

Aww, I wish you had! I fell in love with that ugly statue and would have enjoyed knowing a (at that time, future) friend got it.
