I just finished reading Dell #3 "Blood Oath" by John Vornholt and in the book G'Kar has a wife called, Da'Kal. I was just wondering if this was something Vornholt made up for the story or if it may have come from JMS.

No...and yes...and ???
In the original treatment, it states that Jackarr has no mate. In the Series Bible, it states that he "...is married to a highly-placed female who has the ear
of the Narn leader." I could swear that I recall him referring to his mate once in the series but I'm darned it I can remember when. Anybody?

Oooooo good question that Jan's answer has my brain working. I think she is right that it does seem like there was an obscure reference made at some point, but I sure can't remember the episode. I may be getting it confused with that book, but I didn't recall that name as being his wife so maybe it is in an episode. I would have said no until I read what Jan said and it created the same thought in my mind, which I believe is considered mind control. Kudos Jan.Susan Ivanova, "I'll be in the car."

Cool! Thanks everyone. it's nice to know that some of the stuff I read may actually be true, or close to canon. I quite enjoyed spending so much time on Narn and learning more about their culture and G'kar's past. I just wasn't sure how seriously I should take any of it.
The trick with Londo saving G'kar was my favorite part. Getting a lot more Na'toth was great too.
I hated these books when I first got them, but I guess I'm at a point now where I can enjoy them. It's nice having more B5 stories to read, even if they may be a bit closer to fanfiction than canon.
I don't recall any mention of G'kar having a wife ever, but from the way the book ended I could possibly see that being the end of their relationship.
I just finished "Voices" the one that I threw down the first time I tried to read because of how badly Sheridan was butchered. I'm okay with it now though. Season 2 hadn't even started yet I've heard when the book was written, and the story itself was pretty good.
Kosh breaking Talia out of jail was funny.

This is all I could find:
The meeting between G'Kar and Lyta was shortened to remove a "privacy mode" technology that JMS didn't like and a reference to G'Kar's mate.
http://babylon5.wikia.com/wiki/The_GatheringRecently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

That would explain why my memory was so vague, thanks. I thought it should have something to do with his talking with Lyta.
Huh...JMS sure was hard on mates in the pilot. First he eliminated Velana, Kosh's mate and then G'Kars.

I don't think the glitch is related to symbols/characters but it's another piece of data for DougO.
The G'Kar-Mate Uncertainty Question (sounds like an episode title for The Big Bang Theory)

JanCaptain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.
Kosh: Good!

I'd noticed that it seemed to happen more with quoted material but hadn't thought of punctuation as contributing. I'll be sure to pass it along to DougO as he's had to pull in vBulletin support. I just try to remember to copy my posts before sending because if I relax, that's when it happens.

Will have to watch and see.
