  • Babylon 5 back on Netflix!

Don't know if you guys know or saw this but....

BABYLON 5 IS BACK ON NETFLIX!!!

I just randomly typed in Babylon 5 in netflix and there it was! I was quite excited! All the movies are there too. Not streaming though but it's definitly on Netflix! :-D Wohoo!

I think that just gave me a reason to keep Netflix!

Is this the $1.99 per episode model like they (Warner's) have with Amazon and iTunes? 'Fraid I don't have it so I can't search it myself. Thanks for passing the word.

No, it's a certain amount per month. You sign up for netflix and pick a plan of how many disks you want out at a time. Then you can return and receive as many disks as you want in a month.

It's definitely good that it's available to rent but it really NEEDS to be back on their streaming catalogue to have any real impact.

I don't think there's even a disc rental option on UK Netflix. It's primarily a streaming service here. Even though I have all the DVDs, having B5 on Netflix to stream would be an incentive for me to keep my subscription running.

As I've stated before, I believe it's just as relevant as regular TV for new viewers, perhaps even more so as they can 'binge watch' entire seasons from start to finish. I still disagree with JMS discounting Netflix as an option for attracting new fans.

Netflix is growing rapidly, and is already the go to place for online TV. It's cheap (at GBP 5.99 per month) - which gets you unlimited streaming of films and TV shows. They just inked a deal with Marvel for four original TV shows based on Marvel characters.

There's a whole generation of viewers who are used to consuming all their media via their computer / tablet device / mobile. I still disagree with JMS discounting Netflix as an option for attracting new fans.

It’s where I discovered Fringe and could watch it all back to back at my leisure.

B5 being back on there would be great. I'm still game for working towards that with a letter writing campaign.

It's definately worth campaigning for, let's not stop now. But even so, it seems #FreeBabylon5 has really gathered pace, especially since 'we' got back on TV in the UK. Well done to everyone who has tried!

Absolutely, and in that spirit I have just sent a letter to Ted Sarandos (Head of Content) at Netflix.

I would also ask that everyone else also follow suit and do the same. Feel free to amend the letter to personalise it. My original draft can be found here.

              LET'S GET LOUD!
