I guess I'm moving too fast for people.

I'm watching "The Long night of Londo Mollari" There's something i been wondering about that episode. Was G'Kar linked to Londo telepathically, or was it just a dream Londo was having? I mean, was it as G'Kar said at one point a part of G'Kar left behind in Lodo's mind?

There is a key difference between STar Trek and Babylon 5.

If this had been star trek, (other than screwing everything up), the series would've ended with the destruction of the Drahk once and for all and everyone being happy.

I really wish the Alliance could've figured out that it was the Drahk that was influencing the Centauri. Then maybe Londo wouldn't have been infested with the keeper.

When I was on the last episode of disk three, I was hoping they would be able to figure out what the problem is with the Centauri. And fix it then perhaps the future would've been changed for Londo. In Star Trek, that would've happened but Babylon 5 is much more realistic in many ways.

Tell you one thing I"ve noticed though. Star Trek is much more advanced in many ways except for hyperspace and a few other technology as well.

Just starting Season 5

I was a little bummed when I saw you start the re-watch thread. My timing was bad as I was just finishing up season 4. I noticed something strange though. When I finished season 1, 2, and 3, I immediately needed to start the next season. I went through the 1st 4 seasons fairly quickly.

But, it has been a couple of months since finishing season 4 and I haven't had a desire to move into season 5. I think that says something.

I just started "No Compromises" now (it is paused) and will comment on the episodes as I go through them. I can't wait for the last few episodes and seeing Delenn again watching the sunrise.

I hope to start again an add to the previous seasons' threads.

You would think Sheridan would have mentioned his past with Lochley to Delenn at the very beginning of the episode when he received the link stating she had arrived.

8 minutes in and I already miss Ivanova. Damn you PTEN for shutting down 1 year too soon!!!!

The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari

What a powerful scene with Lennier and Delenn. More on that at the end of my post.

Best line of the episode - Vir --> "Why don't you get a hobby, read a book or something"

Anyone else reminded of "What do you want?" when Londo is asked "Do you want to live?"

It is interesting how Sheridan goes through all of the uniforms he wore in the series while in Londo's vision - Earthforce, the non-earthforce outfit, the B5 uniform, head of the Rangers and then his "going away outfit". The latter two he had yet to experience.

And near the end, the episode contains another powerful moment with G'Kar's reaction to Londo in Med Lab. We were blessed as viewers to have both the writing and the acting in this series.

I had a weird thought as Lennier was walking off the station. I envisioned Delenn there, alone, reaching out to him as he walked off the station similar to her action in SIL. That would have been freaky

I think all of the characters in Londo's vision/mind were just representations of his "conscience". G'Kar being the main one because that was the issue Londo had to face and address. He was dying either because of the stress and burden he was carrying over the destruction and enslavement of the Narn home world or because his spirit refused to be part of the monster his actions proved him to be. Only by admitting to himself that he had been wrong, and apologizing, could he go on with his life.

After his "Long Night" Londo does seemed to be a changed man...for now.

Yeah, that part always seemed forced to me. I'd have thought he'd have discussed his choice of Commander long before she arrived, too.

Yeah...sort of. How would you react to somebody who walked into your front yard hollaring at the top of his lungs that he hated and mistrusted you and your people and only wanted to use you for his own convenience. That's pretty much what Garibaldi did.

Okay, so I had every intent to post as I watched episodes, but...

.... I just started SIL. The opening scene with them watching the sunset is significantly more meaning knowing the scene on which the series ends.

And there's Ivanova! Glad to have her back for an episode.

Enough with the movies JMS. Give us another tv series. I may have to sign up for Netflix.
