It's funny you mention that, Jan; last night I went on a forum I've not visited in years... but I remembered there were a lot of B5 fans there. I wrote a little piece about JMS, MO'H, and the 19 year promise, and I borrowed the links posted here, (I hope no one minds, it was for a good cause), and posted it.
Just popped back there to check it, and found nothing but praise; praise for Michael, praise for JMS..., even a little wee bit of praise for my post.
You're right. B5 fans are cool.

This is mind-boggling. You've all seen the report I wrote on the JMS promise panel, quickly written and riddled with typos. Since this was such important news, I did what I call my 'town crier' act and wandered around to all the places I'm active to repost it (and fix at least some of the typos along the way). I just looked at the stats for that report on the two Facebook pages I'm an Admin for (a B5 page and, of course, JMSnews):
People who 'Like' the two pages: 4,534
People who 'Like' the particular report post: 2,786
Shares of the report post: 863
People who saw the report post: 95,816
And it's nice, really nice, that of all the people who've commented on all of the places I posted, only one was unkind.
B5 fans are so cool.

Wow. That explains so much. I am glad JMS got to tell the story, but I think the cost was too high.

Sorry I'm late.
Thank you SO much for posting this, and thanks to JMS for fulfilling his promise to Michael. I can understand Michael not wanting his ailments discussed in public, yet also feeling the need to give the fans the truth.
And after all the [BEEP] that's been said (often by idiots) about Michael over the years, it feels good to finally know the truth.
It must've been very difficult for Michael and his family to live through, and I sincerely hope he found some peace before the end, and that his family know how much Michael meant to so many of us.
Again, my thanks.

Jan,
Thanks for posting this.

That's so interesting that Michael O'Hare would share his very personal explanation, he must have really loved his fans.
He seemed like a real stand-up guy as written about the way he raised his step son. ( Echoes Of All Our Conversations)Last edited by DaveNarn; 05-25-2013, 02:01 AM.
