  • B5 Fora

Not to take away from this fine site, but are there any B5 forums that are centered on the shows/universe? Ones that have a decent level of traffic? If so, links would be appreciated.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Shows as in episodes? There's a review of the series going on at the AV Club but their style wasn't to my taste so I'm not sure how far they've gotten. I think this is the start:
"The Gathering" (pilot movie; originally aired 2/22/93, TNT edit aired 1/4/98)

Otherwise, there's an occasional rewatch thread over on TrekBBS.com. But most of the forums I used to visit regularly have died off quite a bit. Still some action at B5TV.com but there it's mostly ressurecting old threads.

What kind of thing are you looking for? Anything you'd like to start here, maybe? Always up for new blood and talking about the show!

I doubt that ANY site will have much traffic because of how many years have gone by since Crusade ended (Sept. 1, 1999) and the fact that there's no hope of ANYTHING new (B5 universe theatrical release, TV shows, TV miniseries, TV movies, novels, comics or short stories) on the horizon.

Trek, at least has a new theatrical release coming out (Not that I give a flaming rat's patuey about that. ).

The Babble On Project "The Last, Best Hope For Geeks"

Matt and Gilllian's rowdy and raucous reviews may not be your cup-of-tea (explicit tag) but are never dull.
They review two episodes per show and are about halfway through season 3.

Good episode specific discussions in the forums, but not high daily traffic.

This link is directly to the forums

I'd say, try to contibute more here. Start new threads, get people engaged. If there's more lively debate, perhaps people will likely check in more often.

I've been doing my best to start threads and engage with others. I'd been lurking here for years before I started posting.
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

This is where we need one of the longest time posters to post,

            "I have always been here"

But not me, I haven't been here that long.
"And what kind of head of Security would I be if I let people like me know things that I'm not supposed to know? I mean, I know what I know because I have to know it. And if I don't have to know it, I don't tell me, and I don't let anyone else tell me either. " And I can give you reasonable assurances that the head of Security will not report you for doing so."
"Because you won't tell yourself about it?"

"I try never to get involved in my own life, too much trouble."

I second that, but just as an observation it seems the forums with a regular podcast are pretty lively.
Short of that, maybe an episode or character/actor of the week discussion might stir things up?

Well, no...shows as in Babylon 5 and Crusade.

The thing is, we've been over everything on this site several times over. I am not against rehashing topics, but I am unsure of the level of traffic, lurking or otherwise.

I will check out some of the suggested sites.
