  • Oh man, this is priceless.

When someone recently read what’s on this link they complained to NASA – stating the artists should be blacklisted.

Babylon 5 - Some behind the scenes stuff. 15,840 likes · 4 talking about this. B5Scrolls started out as simply an exercise in coding up a basic web page. As having a project while doing something...

    The response?

The Director of Communications at the Spitzer Centre thanked them – and has today added a new description beneath the image on the NASA, Spitzer and JPL websites – which includes the following.
In the popular TV series "Babylon 5" it is the location of the featured space station; as a nod to the show, hidden within the background nebula in this artist concept is a small silhouette that may be familiar to fans of the series. Can you find it?

The person who was doing the complaining at one point said the NASA press officer who originally got back to them was a "Trekkie" though later said it was only a joke. lol. Talk about a backfire.

    That's my desktop background, now.
"And what kind of head of Security would I be if I let people like me know things that I'm not supposed to know? I mean, I know what I know because I have to know it. And if I don't have to know it, I don't tell me, and I don't let anyone else tell me either. " And I can give you reasonable assurances that the head of Security will not report you for doing so."
"Because you won't tell yourself about it?"

"I try never to get involved in my own life, too much trouble."

Much as I tried, I was unable to find the hidden image in the 3000 x 1600 version of the image.

The contrast is not so high, but it is clearly visible once you find it.

With the lack of contrast and all the shadows in the picture, I did not see the object at first. It wasn't quite what I expected, but makes sense after a little reflection.

I have one minor nitpick with the page: NASA misspelled Isaac Asimov as “Issac Asimov”. At least they spelled Asimov correctly.
