I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some writer snuck that in there as a really obscure reference; God knows I've done the same in my writing.

Most likely it's a coincidence proving that B5 is everywhere, even when people don't know it.
Helena Handbasket. Hahahahah It would have been even better if she dated Mr. Garibaldi.

    • Well, they are working together and appear in the same scene!

        • When I hear the words "fresh air" I think of the restaurant on B5.

I saw someone playing with their dog. The toy was green and purple.

I had a really good "Cotto"-pizza. It had ham.

          • When my dad announced he wanted to change the name of our Wednesday night prayer meeting to Watch Night, my mind automatically went to the Night Watch.

I have other things that make me think of B5, but this was the first time I was thinking, "oh, I should go post that in the thread on JMSNews."

            • Even the ghost of B5 is dead ;(

Since there is nothing new to read about B5, I've been forced to read about star trek's new tv show, instead.

And they keep talking about B4, for some reason. I don't think they actually mean Babylon 4, but it's all I think of when I see that.

              • I was at a thing celbrating my brothers eledest "First Holy communnion" today (catholic ceremony of boys and girls aged roughly 7 to 8, look it up if you are interested) and my Dad and eldest brotehr (not the father of this child, he's the other brother) annonced they were oging outside for some Fresh Air. They cam eback in (stinking of smoke as they do) and my borther (father of the celebrant)ssaid "they went fo rfresh air, don't you know what fresh air means.
All I said in reply was "I don't think it means the same thing to me as it does to you" and left it at that, as explaining that particular refernce would have taken waaaaaay to long but you lot know what I mean, right?
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

                • For some reason the balloons being waved around by kids have gone from every color there is to either green or purple.

                  • Almost forgot about this one...though the guy I talked to would be better to post this.

Last week while filling my (car gas) tank at a local warehouse club, the attendant came over and asked me if my license plate was from Babylon 5.

He even knew what the meaning was!

                    • I'd probably also ask about that number plate.

A few days ago I figured out that the word "centuries" reminds me of "Centauri" even more that century reminds me of Centauri. Had to stop reading for a moment to make sure there was no a.

I also picked up a book and had a closer look at it on my way home. It was written by Neil Gaiman. After wondering from were I knew the name I concluded that he must've written for B5. Sure enough, he wrote Day of the Dead.

                      • Never fails.
Whenever I see Ghirardelli Chocolate in the store I read it as Garibaldi.

I'd like to get a chocolate Garibaldi for Easter, lol!

Then there was a sign that said "life without ice cream would be darkness and chaos".

LOL! Wonder if you went in whether they'd ask "What do you want?"

Finding that out is the project for the next hot day.
