The McCarthy discussion was just part of the discussion in The Rampant, Irresponsible Political Thread not an independent one (I also didn't find it at first... until I remembered to click on that topic).
I guess I should have been more explicit about why I mentioned that thread...
P.S. in this post the thread name is the link.

Go to the OT forum and search for a thread earlier this year where I cover how McCarthy was right, although the actual proof didn't come out until 1995

Well... in the context of B5 you can search for JMS posts where he mentions McCarthy...
But it would be better to continue that in "The Rampant Irresponsible Political Thread" at the off-topic forum. I've dusted it off with a new post for convenient access...

<<He was probably too busy staring out the window at the telepaths on a field trip the day they covered McCarthy.>>
Gotta call you on that. Go to the OT forum and search for a thread earlier this year where I cover how McCarthy was right, although the actual proof didn't come out until 1995 (I think '95) when the top secret Venona Project was disclosed.
DO NOT REPLY IN THIS THREAD, THIS IS A B5 FORUM!
Thanks.

The main theme of this episode is summed up in this quote:
"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." -George Santayana
Eg, Zack, who didn't pay attention at school.

I'd need to double-check, but I seem to recall in the commentary to that effect.
Maybe I'm just projecting my desires upon Zack...
Yeah, that is probably it.

I just rewatched this episode about a week ago. Z'ha'dumDweller is correct. Pierce Macabee visits her in her quarters, and tells Talia something like the folks at home are proud of the work she's doing, and think she'd be an asset to their organization.

Zack takes her? I thought she went because Pierce Macabee visited her and told her that her superiors thought she'd be interested or some such.

Thanks, the one I was looking for was in 'Shadow'. Thanks for the help.

It is in the second season. The specific ep is "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum."
Talia is at that meeting. *sigh*
And Zach took her. Did he just have a thing for the resident telepaths or what?
Ok, ok, so do I.

There are two such cases that I remember. One is with the new political officer Musante in the season 3 ep. Voices of Authority, and the other one is in the second season ep. In The Shadow of Z'Ha'Dum. I think you mean the latter

I think it is "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum"
And good luck for your speech!

Quick Question (for school) (really)
I'm doing a short speech on the power of text for English class, and I was wondering if anyone could remember which episode this occured in so I can show it:
Nightwatch first visits the station, and the representative makes a speech to security and command staff. The speech is about what NW does and how they can join. The speech is made in a small theater-like room, with blue drapes and a NW logo forming the back of the stage.
