  • My B5 podcast this weekend.

    Hi Folks,
Recently I did a B5 guest-cast that covers the early Earth Alliance and Earth/Minbari War - it will be available for download this Sunday, Jan 1 on iTunes.

Let me know if your interested and more details will follow soon.

    Thanks
    Dave

Hi folks, the updated release date will be Wednesday, Jan 4

      Now more about me:
in my quest for more B5 content I was discouraged to find only a few active podcasts that you all have mentioned here as well:

      babylonpodcast.com
The Babble On Project @ geekplanetonline.com
and this one is fairly new...
      Secrets of Babylon 5 @ http://babylon5.sqpn.com/

So as a fill-in guest on another weekly deep space franchise podcast - Treknologic.com I did a B5 episode myself.
This is a 45 minute narrated clip show for their Star Trek audience and I'd like to share it here too.
Babylon-5 101: a history of the early days of the Earth Alliance, Earth/Minibari war and founding of the B5 Station.
Using audio of Dr. Franklin during the episode æThe Long DarkÆ and the movies æThe* GatheringÆ and æIn the beginningÆ

At Treknologic, Jeff and his crew of the USS Relativity are a lot of fun, run a very active forum with a weekly podcast and are B5 friendly.
I don't expect a mutiny to the space station, this is just my attempt to spread a little B5 love around the Trek-verse
      - or to bring the good word to the savages

So stay tuned and be kind - I just got my podcaster learner's permit and may have hit a few bumps.
If your a fan like some of the nice folks I've met here already, I think your going to like it.

      Dave

Good luck, and welcome to the world of podcasting. The more B5 casts we have the better. Just remember it will never be perfect, but it can still be full of great stuff.

Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

            Thanks

            Hey Gary,

Your avatar looks familiar, are you any relationship to Gary from Jacksonville?
I'm a big fan of the Babylonpodcast and they have a lot of great archived shows.

The deep geeking segment was awesome too and I've wondered why they never did a episode commentary?

Yes Dave, I am the same Gary. Doing a commentary has come up in planning from time to time, but hasn't happened yet. My guess is that Tim would never let us get a word in edge wise. We're not finished yet, so you never know. Thanks for the kind words, and and keep podcasting.

Hey guys, in case you need to top off your iPods, I've done a couple more guest podcasts on my friend Rico's sci-fi fan site.

                  Everyone's favorite 'bug-fest'...Starship Troopers!

and a lesser known movie with an amazing story on it's origins... Sky Captain, and the World of Tomorrow.

(oh yeah, I'm known as davekill over there, I think I was on a '2001' HAL vs. Dave kick at one time - hence the name)
