I find this disconcerting if only because I am the person who wrote this article. The website has asked me to beef up their TV section in general, with a specific focus on Science Fiction. Suprised to see it pop up here, pleased though. Thanks, Ricky.

You're more than welcome. I really enjoyed the Memory of Shadows article you posted yesterday, was the most in depth piece on the subject I think i have seen.

And when you say beef up their Sci Fi tv section, what does that mean? Will we be seeing some more B5 articles going up *hint hint*

Wow, Space Precinct! I used to love that show but sometimes I used to think I imagined it. I haven't seen it mentioned again since it was on. This might be as much my fault for not looking in the right places, but it seemed to disappear right away. This reminds me something I was telling Jan about when B5 came out, I liked it immediately and made sure to watch it at first but I started to get worried that it was surely going to be cancelled and because I liked it so much so I taped it thinking it would be gone for good if I didn't . I wish I some of the others.

As for Sci Fi TV specifically: Thanks to some old contacts within the various studios, Warner Bros have provided me with all of B5 on DVD to review (I did have it anyway, but there you go), Image Entertainment have given me the complete series of Space Precinct for the same purpose, and Fox (just this morning) have sent over the complete series of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and Universe for review. There are also requests in to CBS and A&E for Star Trek and Farscape. So a lot of pieces will be up, in an attempt to widely expand the Sci Fi section.

Quickly responding on my lunch break. But that sounds like A LOT of work, kudos to you, sir. I remember Space Precinct from years ago around the same time as B5 if I recall correctly.

But given this secret writing project (which now you've said you can't talk about, I want to know more) does that mean you definitely wont be posting any more articles until November? Also can you post the links on here of mayber B5TV when your reviews and such go up. I'm sure there are plenty of us on here that would like to see them, Thanks

As far as posting links, my concern would be spamming the forum. B5 alone (review wise) will run over 130 articles. Strictly speaking, if people want those links, it would be easier to post on B5TV on the various Ep Dis threads. But unless I see a number of people ask for it, I'm not sure it's something I would do. So if a few others on here ask, I may post those links.

I don't think anyone would complain about that. My suggestion would be to start a new thread specifically for the reviews, and post the links inside that thread. Anyone who doesn't want to be "spammed" can avoid that single thread. Everyone else can read the thread to keep up-to-date.

I'd enjoy seeing the links posted here, yes. It seems to me that it's been a while since we really discussed the episodes or had a new poster who posted their thoughts and impressions so this would be a good opportunity.

Feel free to begin a dedicated thread if you like, Cursader/Pat. Or if you'd prefer, I can retitle this one however you might like.

Ah, Space Precinct. I remember doing a set report at Pinewood Studios years ago and having a ball. Not the best genre series by a long shot but certainly amiable enough in the tradition of Gerry Anderson's other shows. Funnily enough I was just thinking about it recently as I was continuing my endless job of digitizing several thousand old interviews and coming across those Space Precinct tapes. Good times.

Without my lawyer present the only detail I can offer is that I have been given a window of four weeks to complete it. It is fiction and in no way connected to my TV reporting gig and no, alas, I can not even name the company involved. (Ricky, I hope that is enough for you)

Jan, as Pat has said what he'll be reviewing from Nov on, maybe we could add a poll to this thread seeing who would want links posted for his articles on Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Space Precinct and I think he mentioned Farscape as well.

I've been working on an in-depth look at the various B5 movie projects for my own site off and on for a while now, though I've been constructing a timeline for each project and also trying to give some analysis to what we know of each proposed plot (i.e., B5: THE MOTION PICTURE's containing similarities to FORBIDDEN PLANET, etc.)

Pat, I hope you don't think I'm stepping on your toes if I get my butt moving and try and finish the thing off in the next week or two.

Ps as you said earlier that the B5 reviews would run over 130 articles, does that mean you will be reviewing the episodes/movies rather than the DVD box sets?
