4:3, in this particular case, IS A VERY GOOD THING. This is what they should have done all along, with Season 1 thru 5 DVD sets, and the Movie set.
I'm not sure, but I believe that the entire series was originally shot in Wide Screen because some of the other Countries showing B5 were already Wide Screen.

And because JMS wanted to be Ready when HDTV became a reality.

Well, I guess we now have the answer to that question.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

The release of Crusade on DVD is my dream come true!

However, political opinions have no place in this forum. In my opinion, for examply, a vote for Kerry would be a terrible mistake because it would cause a repeat of the terrible evil perpetrated upon Serbia by Clinton. Why do I say this? Kerry has already told the Albanians he will "give" Kosovo to them, along with Macedonia and parts of Greece. Those areas are not his, let alone the United State's property to "give" away. And for those who are completely ignorant of the facts, Al Qaeda is alive and well in Albania and with their co-horts in Kosovo slaughtering Orthodox Christians daily.

        DO NOT VOTE FOR KERRY!!!

Guys, with all due respect, not everyone here is American, and not everyone is in the least interested who gets elected into your office. Please take your opinions off the B5 boards into OffTopic.

I will keep my opinions to myself as soon as the offensive signature file is removed.

Michael, I suggest that you ignore any signatures that you don't like. Starting with saying that political opinions don't belong here and then proceeding with several lines of it is much worse than a simple .sig imo.

If you want to discuss that further, please take it to the Off Topic thread.

First off, I am only going to respond to this in this thread once, making sure that Mr. Malloy sees it.

If you will read the entire sig, Malloy, you will see that it is intended as a rib. About a year ago, Kerry said he voted for weapons funding bill (or was it CIA funding?) BEFORE he voted against it. Believe me, I would not vote for John Kerry.

Lastly, do not presume to come to these forums making threats pertaining to others' signatures. If somebody did have a sig telling you to vote for Kerry, then that is fine. It's called...freedom.

With all due respect, you would think that a B5 fan would be more considerate and less childish, it wasn't even part of his message but only his signature.

I am not American but as one of the important message of B5 is that we should respect that everybody is entitled to their opinions.

I am surprised and disapointed..and if somebody feels threatened by a simple signature thinking that people might be swayed then I would sugest they re-examine the strenghts of your their convinctions.

Anyways, can we get back to the REAL issue, Crusade not being released in widescreen

Actually, I'm just glad they're being released at all, widescreen or not.

The first time through, I was so disappointed at how the Technomages were portrayed as all-powerful (Excalibur firing on one of them and walking away, fuzzy memory if I'm mistaken) that I didn't even make it through all 13 eisodes. I suppose I also missed the station.

So I'm just glad I will now have a chance to watch and enjoy Crusades on DVD. Besides, having burned a hole in several of my seasons 1-5 of B5, I'm in need of new material to wear out!

The Excalibur fired upon the spot where Alwyn was, but that doesn't mean that Alwyn withstood the Excalibur's main gun. He just wasn't there when the beam hit, or they fired at an illusion of Alwyn.

Alwyn told Galen that yes, he'd cut it close. With Technomages, all is often not what it seems to be.

That is the great thing about the Techno-mages. It's the Spidey theme...with great power comes great responsibility. That is the whole point of their existence. Have you watched TGoS recently? Have you read the trilogy? It's excellent and fleshes out their origin and culture.

I wish to offer my humble apology to
Z'ha'dumDweller and anyone else who may have been offended by my reaction to the words about Mr. Kerry.

I also wish to thank Jan for clear thinking and good advice.

I admit my fault in reacting harshly to
Z'ha'dumDweller's signature file. I am obviously terribly sensitive to reminders of errors in American foreign policy. For what it's worth, I am a Vietnam Era Veteran - one of those who served as a musician in the Mediterranean in a U.S. Navy Band instead of being an eyewitness to the horror of war.

This forum is a treasure which brings together people from all over with only one thing in common - the love of work done by JMS. In particular in this thread, we are concerned with the all too soon aborted series "Crusade."

Let us all continue to sing the praises of JMS and our favorite Babylon 5 characters and adventures!

Thanks for coming back and saying that, Michael.

I'm thrilled at the news that the Crusade DVDs are coming. After the debacle of TNT vs JMS I was sure it never would and had stooped to getting the Asian VCD release,

I'm also interested in what JMS has to say. I've read what he's said online but I think maybe some scenes will spark memories of particular notes.

Does anyone know how many episodes he will be commenting for?

I would love get more than one or two. I want all!!!!

I imagine he would definitely be doing the first episode they wanted him to make.

Possibly also the uniform change episode.

Can anyone help me. For archiveing (sp?) purposes i'm searching TNT note (or was it JMS reply to TNT note) that was posted (correct word would be 'leaked') online when Crusade first aired. I'm 99.9999% sure it was posted by JMS on rastb5m newsgroup, but i can't find it with jmsnews search or with google newsgroups search.

btw i found nice 'fairy story'
