Release date for Crusade on DVD?

Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Allow me to respond. Because it's freakin' expensive, takes longer, and is a royal pain in the arse!
And that's from a US fan.
Allow me to place a bit of perspective on things. No one is saying anyone has to "get over it."
Your DVD players will play our DVD's? Then, you are in better shape than we are.
Let us reverse the situation now:
There's this little sci-fi show that holds the record for longest running SF show in TV history. It's release in the US has been poor, hampered, tidbits never released, it's only US version will not ever be released here but was there, the DVD's are being released in the UK at a much faster rate than they are in the US, and its latest incarnation may not be shown in the US at all due to legal reasons...or so we're being told, and at best it will be a long time before we get a US release.
The show is Doctor Who. I adore and worship Dr. Who. So see, it works both ways. But you, at least, have an option with B5...we have no option with Dr. Who. We get what the BBC decides to give us.
So...now I will say...get over it.

I love Doctor Who too. At one time I had the ENTIRE original run on VHS tape. Granted, there was some variance in quality, but I had everything that the BBC permitted our local PBS station to broadcast in the 1970's-1980's. I have a few of the limited number the BBC released on VHS tape as well.
The problem in the U.S. for Doctor Who fans is access due to the BBC's very odd attitude toward distribution here. First, they release only a few titles; and second, the titles are priced so high that sales are not very good. The BBC is killing their own potential here.
American fans of Doctor Who might as well take holidays in England to watch the new series because I doubt we will see those shows for a generation or so based on the past performance of the BBC in the U.S.A.
Makes me feel really gratful for the wonderful opportunities we have with WB and the Babylon 5 material available now. I'm still lusting for Crusade. Give me more Crusade! Same actors, same music too.Michael Malloy

It is simply the case that only having the one choice is not really a choice at all.....
ColonyEarth - You know, in truth, it is in fact quicker AND (usually) cheaper to buy them from a site on-line. For example, I got my B5 Movie Set when you folks got yours, if I pre-order far enough ahead I always get my items about 2 weeks ahead of the official release date (give or take a little). And I kNOW that this makes my gripe above seem truely odd. Believe me, I am aware enough to recognise the dichotomy.
JDM - Whilst the sarcasm was somewhat heavy-handed this time around, (most unlike you) I didn't realised that you never even really got B5 on VHS the way we did! Now that really is crummy. Over here (once WB UK got the sales figures back I suppose) things improved very much indeed. Each new season got a cover-sleeve face lift.
Bye for now....

Imm or maybe not. B5 is not as well known as that other show, and it took a letter writing campaign to get one or two of those movies shown in Sweden.
And we are still waiting for B5 season 3 to come out in Sweden.

It might be interesting to have a 'status per country'. Facts, as Joe already said.
I live in the Netherlands. We already had all the VHS-seasons and movies available(years ago I might add).
As for the B5-DVD-sets well, we have season 1 to 4 available and season 5 will be released early november I believe. Also two of the movies are available on DVD though I suspects that WB will try to con me out of money by offering the other two in a total package with the ones I already have...
It's a pain in the ass to have to wait so long between seasons but that might have something to do with marketing-decisions? ;-)
Perhaps WB doesn't realize that it doesn't matter one bit if they release the whole shebang on the same date? I suspect that the fans will buy the lot and do without food for the rest of the month...
BTW : Why is ordering from the States more expensive in your country? I can buy a typical B5-season on DVD for about 70 euro's overhere. Ordering them from the States and I pay 80 dollars plus a bit of shipping. All in all it is actually somewhat cheaper to order online that to go to the shop!
Nothing bad from me about the DVD-shops overhere though; I ordered season 4 from them and it arrived withing two working days.
The only thing that makes me impatient now is the fact that I haven't seen all of the season5 episodes yet..."En wat als tijd de helft van echtheid was, was alles dan dubbelsnel verbaal?"

I have read in this forum previously that JMS told the truth about what happened to Crusade in his commentaries for the Crusade DVD set. After some difficulties concerning that, it was still my understanding that a release would come quite soon. Does anyone now know of a release date for the DVD set, or any other news concerning the Crusade DVD set?
