I don't understand why that should be a problem. What is there really to know except that there are Telepaths, they are controlled by the Psi-Corps, and now there's a conflict between teeps and mundanes? (Yes, I know, thats VERY simplified, but now be honest, with this background, I really don't think that people who don't know B5 yet would have a problem to follow the story).

I find it much harder to imagine how a kind of a sequel to crusade which tells us something about the Drakh War could be interesting and/or understandable for a non-b5 audience...

My apologies for being unclear... I meant a future Telepath War movie not as a direct sequel from TMoS, but from having TMoS present the concept of B5 telepaths to the wider audience.

For all we know, others leave the sanctuary during the time period of Crusade.

Thinking what JMS has to work with, I also agree that the telepath war will not be covered, perhaps mentioned here and there. That is its own story, and JMS will tell it in his own time.

The title, and his hints point to Crusade/TM/Shadowtech. There is enough there easily to support a movie.

Now the Crusade angle. Given the costs of the movie, it would be really hard, I would think, to have both casts. Given the recognition of the B5 cast, rewriting because of the loss of Richard Biggs, it is more likely that this will be a B5 cast story.

To involve TMs, Galen will probably leave the Excalibur, and be doing something while the Excalibur is doing whatever. We assume that there was to be a split sometime with Galen and Gideon, possibly when Gideon discovers the origin of TM tech. This might be the period of time for TMoS.

I don't see JMS giving up on Crusade yet, or wanting to wrap it up. I think he wants to do something to flesh out that story, I think TMoS will cover some of that, but not all of it.

Consider this. We know that Excalibur had to go renegade later. That would leave them without EA support, but the Rangers would still be providing support. There is your tie in to at least Delenn and Sheridan, and from them to others.

From the information I've gathered, there is no indication that the TMs have left the sanctuary yet. They are there in the end of the TM trilogy, they are there in ACtA and they are still there at the end of Crusade.

And Joe's right, you can't combine TMs and the Telepath War. I would go with shadow tech and Galen. Maybe some left over allies of the Shadows, like the Vurt, Streib or the Drakh.

I've become convinced that TMoS will have to do with Technomages and their Shadow Tech... and it will feature telepaths too, which may pave the way for a Telepath War movie in the future.

The card may be related to how he won the Apocalypse Box... This was posted above
Gideon has an apocalypse box. He won it during a poker tgame (won it too easily, in fact he was set up by someone who wanted to get rid of it, and by someone else who wanted him to have it).
I had forgotten that Gideon found a card and never connected it to the poker game. I'm almost sure that would have played a part later on, as Gideon realized that connection...

It's incredible how many small things were there that rewatching with hindsight could have revealed to be important had the series been a success.

Which episode was it where Gideon found a playing card (Ace of Spades) secreted with the box? Doesn't that seem to imply Dureena knows? Who else could get access so easily to something that is well hidden? I doubt it would be Galen as he'd be more likely to throw it out the airlock as someone else mentioned.

I think the episode you're after is the Well of Forever, but I don't recall any hint that would've suggested that Matheson knew anything about the Box.

Wasn't Matheson's knowledge of the A-box somehow connected to his nervousness over his psi-corps scanning? Can't remember the episode and a quick run through the Lurker's Guide wasn't helpful...

I think you're thinking it a bit too small. The Vorlons CREATED the telepaths, Shadows merely tried to get rid of them.

Return of the TMs could do for a nice film.

The Shadows bribed their way into control of Psi Corps. This was mentioned in the third Psi Corps book. I think in episode ZÆhaÆdum Justin talked about the Shadows using President Clarke to neutralise the human telepaths.

Consequently Psi Corps has connections to both the Vorlons and the Shadows. Until removed the corrupt officials will still be in charge.

I dont think Telepaths will have anything to do with TMoS.

Left over Shadow tech, Conspiricies by Earthgov in regards to their secret development of shadowtech, and the left over shadow allies (including the Technomages ) should figure heavily though.

    IMHO

    on another note......

What I am looking forward to is the LOOK of the film.
The visuals in TMoS should be amazing. Personally I can't wait to see what either WETAdigital or ILM ( if they get the nod for the SFX ) do with Babylon 5 herself....

You could argue, with that logic, that a film of that title shouldn't contain any humans either - except for humans who were influenced by the Shadows.

Don't feel that the name of the film is going to limit it that much. JMS managed to work telepaths into the Shadow War, so I'm sure he can work them into something called The Memory of Shadows.

But how would Telepaths be linked in the movie title "The memory of the Shadows" ? If it was The legacy/memory of the Vorlons I'd understand, but it's quite the opposite.
