I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the press leaves them alone as Melissa asked.

I feel bad for both of them. Regardless of the details it cant be easy.
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

        Di-do

Dido on not wanting to hear the details. It is their business and I don't need to hear about it. I am sorry it happened. Other than that I don't need to know.

              That sucks!

I agree, hope the press leaves them alone in this difficult time.

Sad news, but something did come to mind.

If she had not released this press statement...would anyone have been even interested? Who really needed to know this other than them and their immediate family?

I mean, the first question on the three occasions that I have been lucky enough to meet Bruce were most defiantly NOT...

"Hi Bruce, are you still married to Melissa?"

Sorry, didn't like her before and this has done nothing to help...she authorised her rep to tell a TV magazine? Seriously? And had she done nothing, and told no one...would'nt they have had all the privacy they needed?

Offhand, I'd say that if they get to the point of filing legal papers, it would be sure to make the news as public record. That's how many 'news' items come to light. And while the hard-core papparazzi (sp?) won't stay away, the more legitimate newsfolk might grant the request for privacy that's already been requested.

Exactly, it would've come out either way, either as a news story without any comment from them, and then some press would hound them for at least some comment until they get something, or you can release it on your own with a short comment, and say this is all I'm saying, don't ask for any more comments.

I don't care. Apathy and ignorance are my shield. This falls under apathy, I think.
"And what kind of head of Security would I be if I let people like me know things that I'm not supposed to know? I mean, I know what I know because I have to know it. And if I don't have to know it, I don't tell me, and I don't let anyone else tell me either. " And I can give you reasonable assurances that the head of Security will not report you for doing so."
"Because you won't tell yourself about it?"

"I try never to get involved in my own life, too much trouble."

Very Sad to hear. Like others have said here, I wish them and their families the best.
