I don't know if anyone saw this at firstones.com, but download this the TBP intro movie. Awesome battle scene with good music. Check it at http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/babylon/ or just go to firstones.com and download there. Its worth it!
As long as we are downloading cool fan-made video, don't forget to download the "In the Perkinning" trailor from Star Wreck. A coupla Finnish twentysomethings are making a great spoof on "Star Trek meets Babylon 5" and the results are kinda amazing. Make sure you look at the portions of the site that explain how the thing is made. What they have done with bluescreen is astoundingly professional-looking.
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.
Just out of curiosity, is there anything coming out of the TBP ?
Because on Firstones.com it says: "This particular intro was never finished, it's still very good intro movie and we thought it would go to waste if people never see it."
Does that indicate that the whole movie thingie is unfinished and will never see the light of day, or just that the one particular intro was abandoned?
From everything I read about TBP, they are making mods for "Freespace" so you can do fleet combat/resource building/etc in the Freespace universe, with B5 ships/races.
After going to all the work of making the ship models for the Freespace mod, I think they had time on their hands, and made up the video.
It looks like they made up entire campaigns, like the Earth - Minbari war.

Yep, Pirkinning not Perkinning. Given that you are Finnish you can answer a question I have had for years. Does "pirk" mean anything in Finnish, or is it just a random name designed to rhyme with "Kirk?"

Nope, it doesn't mean a thing. There's bunch of other things that don't mean shit either )
I suggest you download the earlier Star Wrecks starting from the third episode. They are all subtitled in english so there shouldn't be any language problems.
BTW is the Freespace mod already finished and ready to be downloaded somewhere ?

Agreed. The animated ones are okay, but the live action ones are a real hoot! I am looking forward to the release of ItP, if that ever comes. I have been following it for years and it is always just "a little while longer" (though to be fair it has been getting steadily more sophisticated). Amzing work for fanstuff.

My favourite is the intro movie for the Babylon5 Mod made to convert the Star Trek Armada 2 game.
Its only a few minutes long, but utterly breathtaking. With outstanding CGI (better than that used in the show)
I know at least one of the game creators pops in here from time to time (Davco92). Perhaps he could tell us how and where it was made ? (also if it's available as a stand alone download)
