  • Minbari Hangman (game)

    Hi all.
Tried this over at *** forum name deleted by order of the Grey Council *** and they don't seem to be doing too well on it. Thought y'all might fare better maybe?

A quote game (how original, I hear you say!) but with a difference. Several words are left out of the quote, and you have to fill in the blanks to get the full quote. Calling it Minbari Hangman cos it just sounds a bit like what they might do for a logical puzzle perhaps: instead of leaving letters out leave whole words?

Aaanyway, for those who wish to take part, here's the first one. See how yaz do!
The dots in each missing word correspond exactly to the number of letters in the word, btw, so in the example below the missing words are 6, 4, 7, 6 and 4 letters, in order.

    "If this leaves a ------ ---- ------- on anything, I'm ------ ----!"

    Easy, huh?

Come on! You KNOW you're smarter than those guys over at --- OK! OK! I'm going! Don't point that Minbari fighting pole at me! Shheesh!

Do we get extra credit for character and episode? Garibaldi in "Infection".

Jan, well done! You got it in one!
You now get to set the next one.
Remember, as many dots as are in the missing words, and try not to leave out anything that would make it too hard!

I guess more points for character/scene/ep etc, though we're not scoring, unless someone wants to introduce a system?

Again, well done! The guys over at *** DELETED *** are green with envy, greener than someone who's just sat through lunch next to a Pak'mara!

You might be amazed by this gang, Trollheart. We've been keeping the B5 Quote conversation alive for almost three years.

        Okay, another easy one:

This is hell, Captain. And you are its ----- ------ ----."

I know that one, but I'll give someone else a chance, as I'm off to a land called Nod!

Not "Captain" but you are close : Sheridan to Ivanova

(I know you have to remember an rather obscure scene)

OK, well there aren't enough letters for "lieutenant" or "commander", too many for "Susan" and though there are exactly the right amount, I'm sure he wouldn't have called her "Ivanova"?

Maybe it was too obscure : "outside"
