  • Comes The Inquisitor

    I was rewatching some old season 2 episodes (some of the best episodes in the whole story arc, imho - lol. ).

    I just watched "Comes The Inquisitor" again. It struck me that this is one of the creepiest episodes, I think I have seen!! Especially the last line delivered by Mr Sebastian. Talk about spooky!! lol.

    I love this episode! I managed to miss it the first time around and didn't see it until TNT was re-running the show. It was worth waiting for, though. Very powerful performance on the part of Wayne Alexander.

        <hanging my head in shame>

        But...it was only the one! Surely I've made up for it with all my years of dedicated service since?

              Didn't you miss the initial airing of The Gathering as well, Jan?

                Well...yeah. But that doesn't count 'cause there wasn't any publicity for that one that I could ever tell. At least for the B5 premier there was some coverage and an interview with JMS that I stumbled across.

                The rest, as they say, is history.

                  What a great episode
                  (Great acting and a great script)
                  one of my favorites.
                  What a brilliant idea for a story.
                  TOP choice using Wayne Alexander,
                  And the delivery of this line sends shivers
                  up my spine (everytime I watch it),
                  "Remembered, not as a messenger, remembered not as a reformer, not as a prophet, not as a hero, not even as Sebastian. Remembered only .. as Jack."
                  SEBASTIAN = JACK = WOW!!!!!!!!!

                    That whole exchange is incredible. Wayne Alexander is brilliant and he *really* knows how to use his voice to great effect.

                      In defence of Jan, she wasn't the only one hanging her head in shame regarding the first run of this episode. There was the whole East meets West thing for JMS, too!
                      "That was the law, as set down by Valen. Three castes: worker, religious, warrior."

                        An amazing episode with amazing perfromances from Wayne & Mira.

                        Kosh had been set up throughout season 2 as a good guy, and then when you think you've got him sussed this episode comes along and you realise that the Vorlons are not the good guys. The feeling you get when Jack's torturing Delenn, and you know he means business. How could someone like Kosh allow someone like Jack to torture Delenn to within an inch of her life?

                        "How can you be expected to fight for someone else when you haven't the faintest idea WHO YOU ARE??"

                        I must admit I just wanted to pick Mira up and give her a big cuddle.

                        Sheridan pours scorn on Jack at the end, but he should have been aiming this at Kosh.

                          I had my doubts about Kosh going all the way back to DeathWalker. It just seemed awfully highhanded the way he fragged Deathwalker's ship.

                            I was doing 80% (business) travel at the time, so I was not watching much tv. My wife actually taped the ep for me (and she generally made me tape things for her, which tells you a lot about how much she knew I'd like it) and had me watch it over a weekend at home.

                            I gots me a good one right thar'.

                              Inquisitor was a really good episode. It shows you don't need large amounts of special effects to make a good story. And from a production point of view must have saved a tone of money for other season episodes.

                              ( Don't feel bad Jan, I missed Gropos until the DVD came out. Day of the Dead made more sense after that.)
