  • Replacement DVD cases

Hey guys, I'm in the UK and my copies of Season 1 - 3 were recently water damaged. The discs are still in working condition, but I was wondering if it's possible to contact Warner Brothers in the UK to get a replacement box.

Also, I was wondering - my DVD's are each in their own plastic case, making up the '5' logo, and I've seen new slimline boxes which only have 3 DVD cases each... would I be able to get one of those cases for my seasons as I really don't want to have to shell out again for new copies?

I suppose it might be worth a try to contact them but I've never heard of them replacing boxes, just some defective disks.

I've read in the past of some enterprising folks who've designed boxes more to their liking that made one picture when they were lined up. Can't seem to locate the links at the moment, though, sorry. My 'lending copy' boxes are in horrible shape with at least a couple of the plastic 'pages' detached in each so if I run across that info I'll post it.

Thanks for the reply Jan! My current thinking is trading my boxsets in (along with the rest of the DVD's I know longer want) and then using the money I get to part-fund buying the slimline box editions.

Thanks, TurkishZath! I'm pretty sure that's the one I was thinking about.

Speaking of cases, did anyone else notice that the Minbari cruiser in the season 2 inside cover is upside down? Or am I the lucky one?

Just yours. Ours has a Minbari ship upside down.

I did not know that space had an "upside-down"

Regarding the Region 1 DVD sets....

There are lots of places where the graphics applied to the top side of the discs, and the graphics on the pamphlet inserts, was wrong or just looks wrong (like an upside down ship.). Usually, it's something like a character who's nowhere on that particular disc. being pictured on that disc (e.g. Martin Sheen's Soul Hunter character being on Season 1 Disc 1, when he's only in The River of Souls, which is in The Movie Collection. W. Morgan Sheppard (Soul Hunter #1) or John Snyder (Soul Hunter #2), should be on Season 1 Disc 1, not Martin Sheen. Hell, on the Movie Collection discs, I don't think any of the graphics are right, but it looks like they did a decent job with the pamphlet.

BTW, it's Minbar, so it'd be Minbari Cruiser.

Thanks guys - I'm really thinking of printing off some of those alternate covers to put on some new boxes.

I don't suppose anyone knows any more sites where I can find alternate DVD covers for the series?

                    Muchos Gracias

All this talk of "upside down" graphics is all well and good, but you still can't beat the DVD menu screen for Space: Above and Beyond, which had a lovely shot of B5 sitting in the top right hand corner.
