  • Spoo tea? ew..... Would that be "spootie" then? Double ew. Though I suppose if it was the unfermented stuff. Londo says that fresh spoo has a different taste (Though revolting to most Centari) and it needs to set up to the consistancy of a thick custard.

You know, I had forgotten that Paul Winfield (General Franklin) had died! Thats terrible. Did any one notice that he got a promotion when he went from Star Trek to Babylon 5? Captain (Captain Terrell from Star Trek 2) to General?

(Yeah, I'm showing my Sci-geek status, but hey! Everyones gotta have a hobby....... Ahem.)

Well, in that case, wasn't there a brother or a sister mentioned or seen on the show. Maybe they could write it up that the General (Stephen's father) had died and Stephen was at Earthdome busy with funeral arrangments. That would be kind of strangly ironic yet touching at the same time.

How about that? Less sappy and honoring both characters whose actors have passed away.

    • Everyone has the God given right to their own guilty pleasures in life. As long as these are managed with care, in contrast with everything else, we can safely disregard 99% of the convenient labels and BS, whether it concerns SF, music, fishing, sports, manic knitting, etc.

If someone put spoo in my tea, I'd probably spew tea.

I think it's a digestive thing. The Narn have the right enzymes to digest it fresh; the Centauri do not. Apparently, humans don't have the right enzymes to digest it at all.

The character, like the actor, had several sisters.

So for humans, it would still be "spootie" as an exhaust product as well as an intake product?
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.

            • I'd rather have breen.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Somebody needs to tell that to Bo and Mack, since at least one of them is eating spoo in "A View from the Gallery" and they keep talking about its constantly-escalating price. This a) seems to indicate a lot of demand and b) must mean Humans are eating it or why would Bo and Mack care?

                • I stick by my statement. You'll notice how eager Mack was to trade his sandwich with Bo?

                      Now, as for _you_, ColonyEarth...

You're quite young and charming - color me surprised! <grinning, ducking, running>

(But somehow I am _not_ surprised that my offer to hurt you was so well received! <g>)

Thank you Aisling...you are a lovely lady...and that one I mean.

A sunset of beauty, radiant with a summer's glow.

OK, enough...thank you for your compliment...really...and you are, indeed, a lovely and beautiful lady.

Sorry, I had to say all that after that part of the conversation was done...but I've been gone on vacation.

And you shouldn't be surprised, Aisling.

                      Carry on...sorry to interrupt.

And instead of editing an old post, as Andrew suggested, I will simply place the link to my site here, once again.
